The primary trouble that arises due to its over-populated stature, is deficient food supply..

The Gujarat Govt. and Hon. C.M. Shri Narendra Modi, have taken this pitfall very seriously and taken umpteen numbers of steps to prepare and present, a healthy Gujarat of tomorrow.
The state govt. of Gujarat, have given prime importance, to the programme, creating healthy body and mind, of the generation next..
Each year, about one crore children receive check-ups and treatment aids from the govt. From the year, 2008-09, the little ones, admitted to the Angan Wadis run by the state, have also been included, along with the infant kids to the age of six and the primary students, from the class 1 to 7. The students of secondary schools and higher education, have been checked regularly since the year, 2007-08.
In the year 2008-09, the services granted, under this scheme, facilitated 11,88,35,22 children and out of them, 13,30,623 were endow with on the spot treatment. 87,494 children were offered treatment in the district hospitals of the related area. 15,08,32 were supplied with spectacles. Children at Angan Wadi, including the infants to the age group of six, 29, 51,177 were checked and the school going 51,651 kids were offered the services of the check-ups..
During the check-ups held by the state, the children with deficiency are provided treatment, on the spot. The other related aid, like the services of pediatric, eye surgeon, E.N.T. Specialist and Dentist are also provided.. The children with eye sight problem are endow with spectacles, free of cost. The children, with the ailments like Cancer, Heart Trouble and Kidney malfunctioning are arranged to be sent to Super specialist hospitals and the entire treatment, is imparted for free. The treatment that can not be provided within the state, are arranged to be given from well known medical institutes of other states, at the cost barred by the state, for the BPL children. From the year, 2009-10, the service of Kidney Transplant, is also given at free of cost.
In the last 6 years, the super specialist treatment, has been imparted to 19937 kids for heart treatment, 3971 for kidney related diseases and 2309 children have been offered with Cancer treatment. About 318, such children have been sent to the neighboring states for super specialist treatments.
The children awareness programme regarding the knowledge of adopting healthy lifestyle, developing healthy habits has been presented.
The provision of worm-free medicines and vitamins to incur rate nutritive values, distribution of Folic Acid tablets once a week and dosage of Vitamin A, to be given twice in a year, has been taken up.
The complete health records of the children are computerized.
The Vaccination of Rubella is given to keep the coming generation, handicap-free.
