A glittering moment in the history of Gujarat.. Swarnim Chess Competition.. Swarnimsiddhi-34.

Progress, the word has found a new mentor..
Yes, it may sound, a bit incongruous..
but,
it is true..
And,
The progress in each sphere, every field, be it industrial development, educational progress, agricultural high yield, scientific growth and in due course, economic prosperity has been the achievements of adoption of visionary outlook by the Hon. C.M. of Gujarat.
And,
Of course,
Sports has not been left behind any longer...
The Khel Maha Kumbh, recently conducted in the state has been the picture of physical fitness of Gujarat. Over 13 lakh participants participated in various sports around the state. About 27,000 were the contestants in the semis and 3000 played a variety of finals.
All in all, it was a unique example, first time implemented in the country, by any state.
But,
the vision to bring about all round growth did not rest there.
The Hon. C.M. Shri Narendra Modi inspired the game of Chess, to be played on a large school, making it mandatory in every school of the state. As a part of mega celebration, of 50 years of inception of Gujarat state, Shri Modiji promoted the Swarnim Chess Mahotsva. The magnificent event witnessed the partaking of 20,418 chess players, in a single event!!! It was followed by, the chess maestro, Shri Vishwanath Anand being falicitated. Shri Anand, performed a unique fete. He participated single handedly with 64 players!!! Among them were celebrity participants, veteran film actors Shri Paresh Rawal and Shri Manoj Joshi. More than 20,000 players playing a chess like sport, is an accomplishment noted in the Guinness Book of World Record. An authority, from the Guinness Book, present at the event, recorded the rare fete and presented a certificate, on the spot. Those present, at the event were Hon. C.M. Shri Narendra Modiji and Hon.Revenue Minister, Smt. Anandiben Patel and Hon. Culture and Sports Minister, Shri Fakir Waghela. The Chief Secretary, Shri A.K. Jyoti and Culture and Sports Secretary, Shri Bhagyesh bhai Jha, were instrumental in carrying out the colossal event, with ever so smoothness.
Shri Modiji, in his speech appealed to people, to be more and more Sports Conscious. He stated that during the Khel Maha Kumbh, he had tickled the physical fitness side of the citizens. Here, in the Chess tournament, he encouraged the stimulation of brain and mind-cell. In his motivating address, he urged all 20,000 players to train at least 5 players, which would initiate about 1 lakh Chess Players, from the entire Gujarat.
This is yet, another feather in the crown of Shri Modiji and his Team Gujarat..
A distinctive feature that earned Gujarat a place in the Guinness World Record..
A matter of pride for every Indian..

The growing emptiness within current generation.. heart breaking scenario..

Scam! Scam! Scam!
Every ‘Good Morning’ is welcomed with a spanking new scam. Every evening, we shiver to switch on the news channel on T.V. in fear of yet new scam..
The scam word rules the nation..
In recent times, the frequency seems to have multi folded.
And,
There is a competition prevailing among the current Govt. to win the race.
We the people, of this nation, who have obtained independence, from the foreign rule, not so long ago, have become thick skinned and less and less sensitive to the corrupt surrounding around. We, as the citizens of this nation, feel helpless sometimes with the fraudulent scenario, existing all around..
But,
Moreover, we have become hopeless and spineless, to resist any scams..
Glancing deeper into our own soul, I located an emotion of ‘Who cares?’ in my conscious..
Who cares about the neighborhood?
Who cares about the township?
Who cares about the city and state, or our native place?
Who cares about the nation?
These are the broad-spectrum outlook, the contemporary generation seems to be cajoiling with.
And,
In no uncertain way, they are no less talented lot..
In fact, with technology modernization shooting up to its soaring heights, the latest techno-savvy India, has scuttled and scampered in a massive swiftness to attain the label of hip and happening..
But,
In this rat-race, they have seemed to forgo their glorious past...
The History that is a saga of sacrifices and struggle..a tale narrating victory and achievements..the narrative of awe-inspiring patriotism..
That our forefathers lived and died for..

The story of India’s freedom struggle or the pious saints who walked over the Indian sub-continent and worked ceaselessly for the welfare of down troddens. The legends about the great philosophers and rulers, who sow the seeds of jingoism, in the hearts of plenty, who lived then..
We, the Indians are one of the most fortunate species to be born on this earth, who have been blessed with magnificent precedents .
And,
The History is the string that connects the present with the gone by era.
But,
Our present generation, finds the historical aspect to be cumbersome and useless!!! They prefer adopting philosophy that is borrowed from the West and as a result, reach a stage, where anything that is Indian or connected to our nation’s past becomes lackluster for them.
These youth is so engrossed in making more and more money [of course, no issues about being successful, but leading a wholesome existence is as or more important] that they have dropped the significance of their comfortable independent lives, that is a gift to them, by their forefathers, who fought vehemently to accomplish the grandeur of India of today.
Today’s lot finds it tedious and uninteresting to know anything that ignites their soul...
Be it reading or entertainment, they have begun opting for non -sensical comedies, that is ticklish and nothing that is thought provoking or something to take home about..I personally, have nothing against laugh riots but ignoring our splendid past , that would light patriotic susceptibility among us, would lead to a better future.
Recently, while watching two stage performances, in Gujarati, the stage-goers response was very painful. One about the terrorist activity, prevailing in our surroundings and the other about great historical prodigy.
But,
Sadly the crowd longed for smsish jokes and asinine entertainment, where they do not need to sharpen their brain-cells!!!
And,
As a result, we are presented with leaders, who engage themselves in scam after another, as we have somewhere lost the capacity to accept and enjoy that would demand us to sense the plight faced by our fellow-men..
Thus, we somewhere comprehend their pilfering..
Sad.. Is it not?

The affectionate concern of the neglected ones..The Pashu Arogya Mela.. Swarnimsiddhi-33.

Gujarat is a pre-dominantly an agricultural state..
The agricultural growth, has reached a momentum, in the last 10 years of Modi rule, in the state. It has captured soaring heights, in colossal production as well as innovative developments. The resources have been exploited to its optimum potentials and after utilizing its optimal levels, newer innovations have soared sky high.
Gujarat, a region with lower rain fall has had severe famines in the 80’s and 90’s..
And,
The worst struck have been the cattle folk, who have met with horrendous situations due to excessive water scarcity. Thousands have been the victims of anemic conditions and disastrous epidemics.
Recognizing the importance of animal husbandry in rural economy, the farsighted C.M. of Gujarat, Shri Narendra Modi, initiated the unique, ‘Pashu Arogya Mela Abhiyan’. [Animal health check-up camps] in 2002.
Every year, in a month long campaign, farmers of Gujarat, gets all the valuable animal husbandry services that include surgery, de-worming, vaccination and general health check-ups of animals from experts absolutely free.
In last 8 years, under this campaign, 85 lakh animals have been treated and about 60 lakh animals have been vaccinated.
According to Shri Dilip Sanghani, the Hon. minister of Agricultur and Animal Husbandry, “Due to these measures, Gujarat’s milk production has witnessed 66% rise in the last decade.”
And,
The dumb creatures have bestowed upon plenty of blessings to their savior.
Thus, Gujarat prospers in every sphere...

The affordable alternatives in action.. Bori Bandh Yojna.. Swarnimsiddhi-33.

Gujarat, by characteristic is a region with limited monsoon.
Thus, it becomes essential to locate various manners to save the generated quantum of water. Wherever, possible building dams and cannel is the preferred alternative to keep the fertility of the soil alive.
In many places in Gujarat, are not gifted with permanent source of water supply other than monsoon, which is completely dependent on nature. There are some regions, which are often flooded with excess water, too. Thus, it becomes necessary to control the flow of water, according to the need of fertility of the soil, required for the optimum growth.
In Gujarat, mostly, the entire farming, is done by the water supply by the surface water. Out of the 3.90 million hecter agriculture land, about 1.79 million hecter is supplied water through the Sardar Sarovar Dam.
The farsighted C.M. of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi’s vison initiated different plans to set in motion, the prevention of soil being washed away and the excess water being wasted.
The cheapest yet extremely effective solution has been adopted to achieve this momentum. The creation of unique option like ‘Bori Bandh’ has proved to be effectual. The Bori Bandh, is created by filling the gunny bags with sand and soil.
The Bori Bandh :
1.Is an exceptionally economical choice.
2.It does not create any hassles, even if there is any calamity.
3.No need for huge and costly raw material.
4.No skilled labour required.
5.It is created for short period of 1-2 years.
6.Re-usable and re-constructable.
Till date, more than 35,479 Bori Bandh are erected, resulting in increase in level of water in the Borwells. It has also added to the wetness in the soil and reduced the quantum of salinity in the water.
In Junagadh and Banaskantha, the level of water, improved due to the Bori Bandh. In Junagadh, the water level, which was 14.75 meter, increased by 3.85 meter. In Banaskantha, the water level raised by 7.95 meters, thus making it to 18.08 meters.
Gujarat, which has turned into a dream land of development, in each sphere, does not only attribute to adopting to pricey substitutes for achieving the momentous growth..
But,
Implementation of inexpensive yet valuable option has led to the prosperity of the land..

Developing efficient administration.. The Karmyogi Abhiyaan.. Swarnimsiddhi-32.

It is age old belief that ‘Yatha Raja Tatha Praja’..
Meaning the well being of the population of a region depends on the commitment and the intention of the ruler..
Now,
In modern times, the conviction have changed, the credence have altered.
In the democratic set-up, the people are the rulers..
At least the deciding factor about the credentials of their head of state and his team..
Thus,
‘Yatha Praja, Tatha Raja’..
In democratically elected governments, it is mandatory for the Governing body to provide efficient, accountable as well as extremely transparent governance.
Gujarat Govt. firmly believes in this..
Thus, Hon. C.M. Shri Narendra Modi has insisted on developing the Human Resource Department. Shri Modiji’s vision and his compassion, led him to encourage the administrative staff to experience the same responsibility in each sphere of governance. For achieving this compatibility among the secretarial body, Gujarat Govt. undertook a programme, named Vibrant Governance [V-Governance] in 2003.
Human Resource development, has been of prime importance in V-Governance. Prior to this, Training and administrative advances were never considered of any significance. 90% of the Government staff was not even provided any formal training from their recruitment till their retirement. As a result, they were hardly equipped to initiate any innovative changes regarding governing the state.
This programme indicated development of hidden capacities to impart proficient governance. The ultimate motive of this programme was to transform an Officer into a Missionary, who will be ever prepared to offer a service to the citizen, with empathy. The objectives of this mission, is developing a People Friendly governance and create trust among the citizens of the state. With positive attitude towards the government policies and its implementation, the mission also aims at building close contacts with the families of the officers and making them part and parcel of the officers duties.
The entire process would eventually attribute to well-organized functioning of the entire Government.
The Gujarat Government presented a 20 hour training capsule to its 0.5 million officers of different levels. The training included expression of thoughts regarding various issues, developing internal skills and making the approach customer friendly.
The senior officers, along with the IETS officers visited this training centers. The government team, visited the venues of the training, too. After completion of these sessions, The Hon. C.M. conducted Live interaction sessions.
This mission enabled totally 0.37 million officers of 1,2,3,4 grades. It also included 0.2 million teaching staff.
This programme was a huge success and was officially shut in 2005.

Barkha's lost integrity.. Did she ever have? The veil unveiled..

At every nook and corner, the discussion strolls around various scams occurring, every few days around our country and taking the entire nation on a whirlwind storm.
And,
Thankfully, the scam masters provide enough masala to take the countrymen through the swindle and in meanwhile, they are ready with a fresh one.
As a result, the citizens of this great nation, day by day, lose confidence from the leaders and the political scenario. They tend to form an opinion that all leaders are just politicians, who are responsible for creating fiddle and swallow common man’s money..
I am not here, for denying this..
But,
Just opening an eye, to causes, one and plenty, that are pre-dominant in ‘scamster’ political scenario.
Lets introspect..
At the miniscule level, we the common man, prefer getting our tasks completed [ I know, I am calling them TASKS, as it’s a mammoth job to complete various clerical documentation etc.], at the least input of efforts and for achieving this, we, very naturally are ready to pay for the ‘Chai paani’.
Agreed, the entire procedure is tedious and to save precious time and energy, we are prepared to lose a few rupees and gain mental peace of ‘Work Done.’
And,
Then, the masaledar gossip is cooked, explaining the world, how the politician took the bribe!!!
Aren’t we somewhere to be blamed?
The 2-G Spectrum Case, throws light on the fact that the Corporate Sector is as much to be blamed for the country’s treasury trailing by hhhhuuuggggeeee sum of 1.76 lakh crores. [According to CAG report, the licenses were issued to telecom companies at appalling low prices, causing estimated loss of above mentioned sum to India’s treasury.]
The new profession of “Lobbyists” [its an official term and post in the US], in simple term, the middleman or the middlewoman, twist around their little finger, not only the politicians but also the media’s top brass.
In the most talked about Tap ‘kand’ [case], the so called ‘Fourt Estate’ of Indian social and political circuit has dipped their hands in black.
The veil of integrity and commitment that Barkha Dutt, famous controversial [ the one who adores condemning every devoted Indian leader] political journalist, used to cover her face with has been torn apart. In 2009, at the beginning of UPA-2’s rule, to solve the prevailing differences between the DMK and Congress, Barkha had sent an offer to Neera Radia. She had promised Neera that she would get in touch with Gulam Nabi Azad and pursue him to issue a statement in favor of DMK!!!
Now,
When the proof is out in public,
Barkha calls it ‘Judgement of Error’!!!
A few days back, The NDTV 24/7, conducted a special programme, to depict the version of Barkha, in regards to the Tap Case, where she was accused of being involved with Neera Radia, in various conversations revealing settings being done to one or the other leader confirmed for some particular berths [ministeries.]
Three important political journalists were invited on the panel and the common query in each’s mind was, what took Barkha to delay the revealation of the Tap she owned, that contained explosive conversations. The madame Barkha has the guts and audacity to call it ‘Error of Judgement’!!!
Meaning,
If the taps were not leaked, she would have preferred keeping this sabotage hidden!!!
Barkha Dutt harps about her integrity and how she was annoyed when she, out of all the Indian citizens, she had to go through the ordeal of proving her integrity, she was shocked.
In reality,
There is no doubt about her integrity towards her profession and her personal progress.
But,
When it comes to her integrity towards the nation, there is a BIG question mark..

The transparent and accountable administration.. One Day Governance.. Swarnimsiddhi-31.

It has been a common prevailing belief that to get any sort of human resource related work, in the Govt. sector is a mammoth task. It has been a familiar practice that it takes months and sometimes years, to acquire simple documentations.
But,
The Gujarat Govt. decided to break this barrier.
Previously, elongated time, that was taken for completing such jobs, has been cut short to a large extent by modernizing the Governance Services by being techno savvy. The computerization of service has proved to be a boon and resulted in higher potential to offer. It can also decrease the expense of tele-communication and increased the transparency and accountability of Governance.
One sector that has been hugely advantageous due to this technological up-date, has been- Public Complaint dept. Formal procedure of launching carp, against Government service and department, used to be tedious and based on paper applications explaining the problem. This led to prolonged period being passed, without the citizens obtaining any justifiable services.
And,
This mismanagement rooted the foundation of ‘One Day Governance’ Scheme. The purpose behind establishing this mission, was convenience to citizens and saving time, money and energy of the common man.
For issuing Ration Card, Income Tax Returns, different licences, various documentation the process was unnecessarily time consuming and wearisome. The Gujarat Govt. initiated this service straight to the people living at the remotest corner of the state, from Taluka head quarters.
The institute known as ‘Nagrik Sewa Kendra’ was set up in Vadodara on Ist April 2003 and the execution of this institute began on the Gujarat Day on 1st May 2003.All together 29 days were taken for implementation of this scheme.
The entire procedure was conducted step wise.
In the first phase, the district collectors office was modernized with hi-tech equipments. This upgrading included Computerization, local area network, Gujarat State Wide Area Network [GSWAN] and e-mail facility. The staff was trained accordingly.
Special seminars and workshops were organized to educate the staff in Psychosomatic, Spiritual and Tele-Communication.
Vadodara model became the prime example and such institutes were set-up in every part of the state, thus accomplishing the ‘One Day Governance’ state wide.
To facilitate the citizens about the various services available, in Ahmedabad Jansewa Kendra, the Information Kiyoska was established. The citizen facility center provided Online service.
The citizens of Gujarat welcomed this initiative with open arms.
The ODG scheme has reduced the corruption in human resource services to a large extent, as there is hardly any face-to-face communication between the officer and the person seeking service. The entire procedure was authorized, thus the verbal false promises regarding the period to conclude the application, could not be raised, unnecessarily.
The procedure simplified, led to boost in payment of Tax.
The On-line facility and control encouraged the local municipal boards services such as Water supply, Tax collection, Road Lights preservation and Sewage Maintenance to get privatized.
This On-line facilities provided Paper-less administration saving valuable time, energy and money.
And,
Prevented the creation of scenario similar that was seen in tele-serial Office Office.
The following table projects the huge difference, this ODG scheme, the brain child of Hon. C.M. sdHRI Narendra Modi, who is ever constantly occupied in providing time and value based administration to the citizens of the state of Gujarat.

Gujarat creats novel dimension in Sports Culture.. Khel Maha Kumbh.. Swarnimsiddhi-30

The extreme western state of India, named Gujarat, is a region represent ting mainly business and trading class. Where the population, has been primarily engaged in small or larger scale industries apart from agriculture, as occupation.
And,
For time perpetual, the Gujaratis belonging to this land, carried an image that tainted their otherwise progressive illustration. They may have achieved excellence in every field like industrial, educational or agricultural sphere, but they lacked their dominance in Sports.
Sports had never been the forte of Gujarat and Gujaratis and hardly any noteworthy accomplishment were registered on the name of people hailing from this state...
But,
Not any longer..
Now,
The visionary C.M. of the state has taken it up as a challenge to take sports and games to every door of the state, weather that of rich or poor.
To accomplish this task, The Khel Maha Kumbh has been organized in Ahmedabad. On the event of Swarnim Gujarat, this is a exceptional fete, that Gujarat has achieved. Inaugurated by Hon. C.M. Shri Narendra Modi, on 20th November 2010, at Police Stadium of Ahmedabad. The flame, especially created from ‘Panch dhatu’ for this event., The world champion of Chess, Shri Vishwanath Anand, received the flame from the hands of Shri Modiji and commenced the event. The flame was passed on to Lajja Goswami, the winner of medal at recently concluded Common wealth games. Lajja hails from Gujarat. She led the Team Gujarat in the procession which would visit all 26 districts, 7 metro cities in 33 jeeps and 1087 motor bikes. The event was a spectacular show of culture and traditional dances. Those among the celebrities who marked their presence, were Anshul Kothari [Swimming], Arjun Award winner in Badminton- Parul Parmar, international Kabbadi player Tushar Arothe, Ami Ghia [Badminton], Ex. Olympian of Hockey Ajitsinh Pal, Ex. wicketkeeper of Indian Cricket Team and ex. Chairman of selection board of Cricket Shri Kiran More, Tejas Wakare and Aparna Popat.
The objective of organizing Khel Maha Kumbh, is to promote the hidden strength and capacity to excel in various sports among the poorest of poor. Those who are not so fortunate to receive the ultra hi-tech facilities to advance their potentials in obtaining superiority, can be presented with a platform to tap their sprouting ability.
Sports projects sportsman spirit, tolerance and respect for the competitor.
Sports is also the representative of physical fitness and ‘never say die attitude’.
Thus,
As a result of Khel Maha Kumbh, India will receive the next generation of Physically fit and mentally courageous Gujaratis, contributing their valuable skill to Brighter India.
Vande Gujarat..

The Robber Raja and his collegues..

The BREAKING NEWS of every hour, on every news channel is same, same and same...
It is Raja, Raja, Raja...
Baja Raha hai baja, baja, baja..
Of Indian Economy,
Of Indian Tax-payers valuable and hard earned penny,
Of Govt. in the center
and,
Hon. P.M.’s so called ‘White than the Whiter’ image...
But,
The question that has arisen in each one’s mind..
Is regarding the accountability and tranceparancy in the conduct of PMO..
And,
As the head of the chair, in the demeanor of Shri Manmohan Singh.
The Hon. P.M. who has turned to be the prisoner of Coalition Govt. and the one who neither has the control over the deportment by his ministers , nor the audacity to begin the enquiry over the stained minister’s of his Govt. till the water crossed his head. It is rather shocking, not only surprising to note that the Hon. P.M. kept his mouth shut for a period as long as 11 months, in answering to petition filed by Shri Subramaniam Swami, seeking permission to prosecute Raja? Even the Hon. Supreme Court has solicited a question regarding mum by the Hon. P.M. when he could have taken action within 3 months as well as not allowed the permission.
But,
Instead he preferred keeping a alleged silence for 16 months, without considering any steps!!!
Now,
when the print media ‘PIONEER’ has revealed the scam..
When the opposition demands strongly for instituting JPC..
And,
The scam after scam, by the UPA-2’s ministers have tainted the ‘White’ Sherwani of the Hon. P.M. with Black spots, hardly leaving any so called ‘Whiteness’ to be spotted...
The Hon. P.M. has caught hold of bit of guts to at least ask for a resignation of Raja.
What should never have taken place, has already cost the Indian Economy by stipulated sum of Rs. 1.76 Lakh Crores!!!
The robber Raja, should have been long time back been impeached. In reality, the witness is as much to be blamed for allowing the robbery to happen, [Robbery of people’s money] as much as the robber himself.
And,
Our Hon. P.M. has conducted the role of witness with full force...
The question here is..
Is it only the existence of coalition pressure [which may be there, but it is crystal clear that DMK needs Congress support as much as Congress requires it to remain in power..
And,
even if DMK withdraws support, so what?
To lose the power due to withdrawal by corrupt coalition would have been any day preferred by the citizen of this country than tolerating such nuisance.]
But,
Can we forget that every cabinet minister has a MoS..
And,
In Telecom Ministery, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindhia, the MoS..
Is it possible that a MoS, is not aware of such colossal happenings that is taking place within his ministery?
That says a lot about the silence preserved by Shri Singh...
Whom to blame?
Just the already tainted Karunanidhi and his party men or the clear bystander, Congress men?

Vidyalakshmi Yojna..Kanya Kelvani hi Guru Mantra.. Swarnimsiddhi-29

A daughter is considered as Ma Lakshmi..
When a daughter is born into the household, the atmosphere of tranquility appears around.
But,
In the patriarchal society, the daughter is considered of lesser importance than the son, who is believed to be taking ahead the family name, as heir. The daughter leaves her paternal home and becomes part and parcel of the household she marries into.
Unfortunately,
The distinction between the daughter’s upbringing and that of son’s is drastically poles apart..Especially in the tradition bound society. The daughter is deemed as a burden.
And,
Imparting equal educational facilities, that would aid her in becoming financially independent and socially strong, is negated.
But,
In the changing scenario of current socio-economic configure, the disparity in the gender discrimination is decreasing day by day... Hence, the immediate need for education in the women has increased hundred folds.
Gujarat Govt. has taken up this call, for educating the daughters, on the priority base. The drop out ratio among the females is on much higher scale as the expense of education is not affordable. To overcome this deficiency, the Govt. of Gujarat has announced Vidyalakshmi Yojna, in the rural areas where the female education rate is less than 35%.
The prime motive behind this scheme is to ensure consistency in the ratio of girls seeking admission in the primary level and to make certain, that the education is completed. Under this scheme, the female child seeking admission, in std.1 is presented with a Narmada Bond of Rs. 1000, which becomes mature, when the child completes 7 years of primary education. At the end of seventh year, the amount of Rs. 2200 is received by the parents of girl child.
The Gujarat Govt. started this unique scheme five years back. Initially, the fund was collected from the donors and the expense was limited.
But,
Since last two years, the Gujarat Govt. bears the entire expense.
As a result, at certain places 100% registration of female child has taken place. It has also ensured maintaining the 100% ratio. This scheme has also benefitted urban population living below poverty line. In last 5 years, 6,99,000 daughters have been benefitted.
The welfare of daughters is very close to Hon. C.M. Shri Narendra Modi’s heart and he has made sure, the daughters receive the best possible opportunities..
Vande Gujarat..

The jealous soul can go to any extent.. The Rahul-Chidambaram story.

Yesterday, on Labh Panchmi day, an organization that has dedicatedly served for the upkeep of Indian culture and traditions for last 85 years, had to conduct a ‘dharna’ against the continues counterfeit accusation of being involved in terror activities.
RSS or Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was pioneered by Late Dr. Shri Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, in 1925, at Nagpur. Since then, this organization, which revere the Saffron flag as their guru, has swayamsevaks dedicating their lives to work for the uplift meant of the society. Be it calamities like cyclone or eclipse, flood or dam being wrecked... Irrespective of the nature of catastrophe, the team of Swayamsevaks have always been first to reach the mishap stuck place, wherever in the country, it may be.
And,
They commit themselves ceaselessly in the jobs like picking up dead bodies and doing funeral for them to starting ‘Anna kshetra’ for the grief stuck as well as creating shelters for them.
Weather it was Macchu Dam disaster at Morbi or Cyclone in Andhra Pradesh, Eclipse at Latur or Kutch, Kosi flood in Bihar or Sunami in Southern India, these dedicated Swayamsevaks, without differentiating between religion, caste or creed of the souls they are aiding nor with any expectation of remuneration, engage themselves in service of human kind. Sangh believes in Hindu way of life. Now, this term has been twisted by its opponants, according to their wish. Sangh believes that all those who live on the soil, where Hindu religion was born and nurtured and where majority of people belong to this religious belief, every person residing here is a Hindu, irrespective of the religion he follows, as the tradition and culture of the society, at large is similar. The cultural conviction is based on the surrounding atmosphere and occupation. Thus according to Sangh, every person living in Hindusthan is a Hindu. Sangh, also teaches physical strength and mental adjustments. Thus, a swayamsevak leaves his home as Pracharak to serve the society. He lives in the Sangh Karyalay and eats at different swayamsevak’s families, in whichever area he has been instructed to work. He learns their language, adjusts to their eating and living habits and works to strengthen the ‘sangathan’ [organization], sharing the localities sorrows and happiness, generating the feelings of ‘Vasudev Kutumbkam’.
But,
The so called secularists have, from time immortal been envious of the reputation that swayamsevaks’s devoted work has created in people’s heart. Thus, they accuse Sangh in every unnatural calamity that takes place in our country. Sangh was blamed for Mahatma Gandhi’s killing and the RSS ‘Sarkaryavah’ [the supermost ranking Sangh’s working hierarchy’ Late Shri Guru Golvalkar, was jailed for almost 8 months.
But,
He was found innocent.
And,
Now,
Shri Indresh Kumar in Ajmer Blast and Sadhvi Pragya Singh in Malegaon blast...
And,
Again, nothing has been proven and the Congress fed CBI is prolonging their case further.
While performing their duties during any of the calamities, the Swayamsevaks have always remain completely non-biased. Had there been venom against any minority community, do you think the swayamsevaks would have served them without differentiating in offering service?
But,
These devotion by Sangh has not been digested by the Congress men and it is history that they have opposed vehemently any good work done by RSS. During Indo- China war, in 1962, it was the RSS cadre, which were on their feet to provide any kind of non-military aids, which compelled Pandit Nehru to appreciate their efforts. The same scene was repeated in 1971 India-Pakistan battle. The then P.M. Smt. Gandhi, though at heart she was strong opponent of Sangh, paid tribute to Guru Golvalkarji, in parliament, on his demise in 1973.
But,
Both these P.M.’s though belonging to opposite party and beliefs, had Indian origins in their blood flow. Thus, somewhere down their heart, they were appreciative of the commitment that Sangh offers.
Now, Congress has gone back by 63 years and again is ruled by a White skin. It is irony that forefathers of these same Congressmen, who had dedicated their lives to free this country from the clutches of European rule, bow down to the wishes of an Italian lady. Wah! kya baat hai...
How is a White Skin concerned with betterment of us, Indians? Thus, her son Rahul has the audacity to compare RSS with SIMI, a terrorist’s group? The service done for all these years is presented with a tag of ‘Saffron terrorism’ by the Congress Home Minister, proves the latter’s envious vote bank mind.
Yesterday, first time in the last 48 years, the RSS combated against the constant attacks on their sincerity. It is rather pitiable situation, that an organization as devoted as Sangh, had to go to extent of sitting on a ‘Dharna’ [and it was completely peaceful and not a bit terrorizing, as the RSS is accused of] to shut the foul mouthed comments by Rahul and Company, who have no kinship with Indian culture and traditions.
Shame on such Govt. and shame on us for electing such mindless Govt...

The beginers of novel concept.. The Evening Courts.. Swarnimsiddhi-28.

Namaste..
On the auspicious occasion of Deepawali, heartfelt wishes that that the coming year is full of ‘Suvarnamaya Siddhi’..
‘Justice delayed is justice denied’ is a famous axiom..
Indian legal system has been victim of delay syndrome for ages. It is popular belief that the case that has been sub-judiced, will remain in court for years to come and the accused has a free hand for time unlimited.
And,
Especially, to conclude and produce verdict for small matters, the time taken is long and wasteful, resulting in losing of faith in the judiciary system.
Hon. C.M. of Gujarat, Shri Narendra Modi’s vision with an idea of starting ‘Evening Courts’, to solve the pending burden proved to be a fresh beginning on the path of quick justice. In 2004, the plan suggested by Shri Modiji, came into existence and it was started in Ahmedabad and Vadodara, in the first phase. On November 2, 2006, the Gujarat Govt. announced ‘The rulebook of Evening Courts-2006’ and on 14th November 2006, Gujarat achieved the status of the first state to begin Evening Courts, in order to impart speedy justice...
The purpose behind formation of Evening Courts, is to communicate rapid justice, in the cases with charges of 3 or less years of jail along with monetary fine.
The evening courts has proven to be a boon for working class, as it saves a lot of their time and money. They need not attend court at the cost of their daily earnings. Moreover, the miniscule cases shifted to evening courts and they resulting in swift outcome, would enable the more important and cases with longer proceedings, with additional amount of time. Thus, the entire service would help in yielding fruits on both fronts.
Recently, Tamilnadu has followed the footstep of Gujarat and become the second state to start the Evening Courts..
In the first phase, Ahmedabad [rural] had 17 evening courts, 5 courts in the Metropolitan Magistrate Court and 5 courts in Rajkot were activated.
On the day of inauguration, Ahmedabad [rural] evening courts passed on 847 cases and in Rajkot 18 cases were given justice. The evening courts work from 6 p.m. to 8.15 p.m. The Gujarat Govt. provides 25% raise to advocates, judges and the court staff. In the beginning, the evening courts began with providing justice in non-major cases but eventually took up Criminal Cases too.
This working in double shift has majorly helped in removing the prevalent backlog of cases. At present, there are 78 such courts in action, around the state, which has aided in imparting justice to 1.64 lakh pending cases..

Sadar Namaste, Shri Barrack Obama..

Namaste Shri Berrack Obama..
Suswagatam..
Bhale Padharya..[You must have heard of this term, Shri Obamaji.. as this is an expression of welcome by the community of Indian, who form the huge quantum of the population among the people, that you rule..
And,
Whose illustrious leader, from the soil they hail, has accomplished colossal progress of the state he rules, unlike the degradation of the economy that you and your ‘Team Democrates’ have been unable to restrain. Instead, he has contributed gigantic sum to amplify the GDP of the nation.
Yet,
You have caressed the grudge against the super personality and denied him a welcome..{but, does he care?}
Regrets, but No..
On the contarary,
The name Barrack Obama, who had created history of popularity, while being crowned as the first Black president of the United States and who had gifted in plenty, the promises to do wonders in uplifting the drowning economy of the country, which had ruled the globe for the entire twentieth century, attracting Wealth and Intellegence, from each part of the world..Had to face the failure and letdown, in currently concluded mid-term polls in United States.
The democrats have been rejected and dejected by the voters of the US, for a simple reason of not being able to create economic prosperity among people, that they have cherished for more than century. The real trouble lies in the Plastic Card dependency of the Americans, that they adopted during good times. The American has been addicted to Loan Economy and the main task that had to be undertaken by Mr. Obama, should have been modifying this borrowing inclination.
But,
His failure, in judging the root cause of the wound, has cost him and his party dearly. No doubt, Mr. Obama, tried creating more job opportunities for jobless Americans by discontinuing the Outsourcing that was done, in India and China by American Companies, as the labor from these countries used to turn out to be comparatively pretty cheap.
But,
To no avail.
Day by day, the people are losing faith from the mesmerizing personality, the Prez. The opposition, the Republicans had favored Outsourcing into India and China..
Thus, creating a favorable and welcoming situation for Indians, providing more opportunities for job and cheaper man power for the American companies and industrialists. The average American of today, has turned into lazy and zeal less and is occupied in gratification. Thus, the Hon. Prez. tried hitting directly at the laid back attitude perceived by the Americans, over the years.
Where as, the people of India and China, engage enthusiastically in development process, putting in boundless hard work. In the twentieth century, the American producers engaged in mammoth productions and exported to countries around the world and the American economy ruled the earth.
But,
with passing time, the producers found the Indian and Chinese labor cheaper as well as more efficient and the era of Outsourcing began, costing ample of job opportunities to local American. When Mr. Obama, came into power, he tried desperately to revive the economy and create more job opportunities for Americans. For which, he decided to bend the Outsourcing, which as a ruler of the sick economy, is his bountiful duty.
But,
The people rejected his efforts to revive the economy, through Ballot Box.
Now,
the same rejected-dejected Mr. B. Obama is on his way to woo Indian Govt. On his first official visit to India, the Prez. is accompanied by 250 American industrialists and their mission is ‘Market India’..
The Mr. Prez. wishes to be provided with Open Markets on Indian soil, for US producers and he also dreams of selling 125 American Fighter Planes, worth Rs. 50,000 crores to Indian Govt. [These are just a few glimpses from his wish list and the more will only be displayed, once ‘Abara ka Dabra’ opens up..]
The Indian Govt. has to take a close call.
Today,
The Asian countries have reached at certain stage in the financial world around the globe, due to their sheer hardwork and knowledge. The nineteenth century belonged to Europe and the twentieth century was ruled by Americans, the twenty first century has come to be dominated by the Asian countries. [In today, concluded survey by Forbes magazine, has revealed that Mr. Obama’s popularity chart has decreased considerably and the no. 1 position has been snatched by the Chinese Prez. Hu Jintao.]
Thus, on the eve of the Amrican Prez.’s visit, every Indian, including the Indian Govt. have a wow to take..
That is neither be awe-struck nor be mesmerized by the US Prez..as India, with ever-growing progress, is on the brink of bargaining the best deal from the US. The US needs India, to be in the friendlist as much as we wish have US as our friend. There is no question of any one-up man ship to be deployed on to India.
Infact,
The Indian people have a question to ask, Mr. Prez.
It is regarding the integrity of the American Prez. who has in words, proclaimed to be India’s friend,
but,
in action, have been hesitant to sternly call spade a spade and supported India’s foe, in their evident wrong-doings.
Are you worth us, Mr. Prez?
The ever-so secular, always believing in giving the enemy also, a benefit of doubt and yet highly intelligent and talented, we Indians refuse to be taken for a ride, by anyone.
Unless, you are a true friend..
Or else, you are just another guest, that we have..[Of course, we the believer of Atithi Devo Bhav, will definitely give you a Golden welcome,
but,
That’s about it..
Think about it, Mr. Prez..

Nari Shakti ko Salaam.. Swarnimsiddhi-27.

Namaste..
This is my 27th comprehension of Swarnimsiddhi.
And,
In my journey to depict the colossal magnitude of various efforts ceaselessly undertaken by Shri Narendra Modiji’s Gujarat Govt. and the vision in regards to human resources development as well as economic progress that Shri Modiji envisaged in last ten years, has put Gujarat on a global note.
But,
My speed of my presentation is unable to reach the pace that he and his team Gujarat, is portraying to the world, in each field. Till I scuttle with yet another achievement, one more award is already won..
And,
Recently, his commitments and dedication has earned Gujarat prestigious awards. To top it all, the people of Gujarat have acknowledged Gujarat Govt.’s sincere toil to uplift their lives and presented their wholehearted verdict in recently concluded elections..
Today,
I present you an exceptional progress that had never been even thought of, so far in India..
Indian culture, especially the north and west Indian culture, has been pre-dominantly man oriented, since time immortal. Thus, it has remained a difficult task to seek fair play that is based on equality, in justice. Gujarat, till recently has moreover remained fairly backward in providing justice and the essential esteem to women folks of the society.
But,
Not any longer..
Due to sincere and constant efforts to spread education among females has initiated a strong and confident class of women, in Gujarat.
Earler, there used to be two ways of attaining justice.
1.The Caste Panchayat: Women is imparted with justice, in accordance with the prevailing customs and religious beliefs of the society she hails from. Such, Caste Panchayat is consisted of men of that particular society and the women have no representation. The concerned women, is also not allowed to be present there. Thus, she has no say in presenting her case and it is mandatory for her to obey the decision.
2.The general courts: Indian coinstitution has provided many laws and rulings to ensure required security of women...
But,
The rural uneducated women are unaware of such provisions. The entire process of seeking fair justice is apart from being expensive for non-earning women, is unfamiliar and abhorrent.
Thus, both these legal systems portray prejudiced expression to women’s troubles.
The Gujarat Govt. has initiated steps to overcome these biased roots and to secure justice, they have been offered analternative to achieve justice from Nari Adalat.. [Women’s Court]. This court was first established in Waghodia [Vadodara] in 1995.
But,
The usage was comparatively extremely low. The Gujarat Govt. and Shri Modiji, initiated womenfolks to seek justice from these courts.
In such courts, about 30-40 women constitute a group, who conduct the appeal, along with the other male representatives. The complaint women is encouraged to speak the complete truth, without ant hesitation. These courts provide the most fast paced, non-biased and non prejudiced verdict.
These courts have been progressed from the ‘Female Samakhya’ programme, which aims at promotin g the women to decide4 their agenda.
The justice provider women appear before court at pre-decided hour and mostly they are held in Govt. buildings, which conveys a message portraying it glance, a legal look. It is a free of cost service to be granted and the women offering justice, pays her own bus fare!!!
At the moment, there are 20 such courts running smoothly in Sabarkantha, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surendranagar and Panchmahal districts. Till recently, about 3,728 cases have been taken up by such courts. The cases includes Dowry, custody of child, divorce and physical assault within the family.
Thus, this unique feature adds one more feather in the crown of Shri Modiji’s Team Gujarat.
Vande Gujarat..
Vande Mataram..

The uncontrolled freedom can cause disharmony..

Indian cultural heritage dates back to the B.C. era. Innumerable dynasties and kingdoms have flourished on this pious soil. On its extreme North, the almighty has gifted this landmass with mountain king Himalayas and each direction has water body of oceans.. It has been a tradition of people living on this land, to accept and absorb. They never attack but only react [when necessary]..Thus, their magnificent monetary prosperity became envious site for world around.
And,
The same attracted followers of Islam.. First for grabbing the fruits of colossal economic opulence and then for mass conversion into Islamic fold, through force or fury..
The motives of Britishers were again gaining financial affluence and looting the wealth from this fertile terra firma.
But,
With them, came the spread of missionaries, who on first glance, portrayed themselves as honey-coated servants of God, whose solitary intention of life was, service for have nots..In reality, their service to the needy was not goalless. The mega aim of converting the financially depressed class, was the sole endeavor these missionaries possessed. [There may have been dedicated souls individually, but on the broad-spectrum, the service had to be paid, through conversion into Christian fold.
The Sanatan Dharma did not adhere to any such practice. In every which way, the Hindu way of life, depict tolerance.
Thus, when India became independent, in 1947, Indian constitution adopted the base of Democratic and liberal views, in various fundamental expressions. Of course, what was done with pure intentions of living in brotherhood, among different religions, has at many a times disastrous, because the Islamic religion, is not based on the devout chant of tolerance. They have partitioned the soil, on the basis of religious beliefs, to create their nation.
But,
In Indian democracy, every person residing as an official citizen, is the son/daughter of Mother India. The majority of population, has always demanded Common Civil Code, lending their hand of friendship, to every one of belonging to any religious or economic starta.
Indian constitution represents equality and freedom in variety of expressions. For. ex. Every Indian citizen, has a right to reside or buy as well as sell, property, anywhere on Indian soil..[of course, except, Kashmir, though officially it is an integral part of this nation and Indian Union Govt. provides it with innumerable financial help.]
In the similar manner, Indian Constitution has provision for Freedom of Speech.. implying that every citizen can express their views, fearlessly.
But,
every right is followed by duties. In the same way, the right to speak, has its own dutiful contributions. For every Indian citizen, the progress and security of his mother land is of primary importance. Any word of mouth that would tarnish the image and safety of the country and countrymen, has to be abandoned.
The Arundhutis of the world has to understand this in full and finally. By stating India, as an expansionist country [which is a folly by itself], she has defied her commitment towards the nation, she is citizen of.
Moreover, by igniting the matter, which already is on the fire, she has posed grave national security problems. When she has no authority to preside over the matter, she has gone and spoken words that would kill the sentiments of crores of Indians as well as squander the efforts of lakhs of army men and on top of all, destroy the mammoth labor that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, toiled for merging [and very much merging, whatever Omar Abdullah wishes to address it as...] of Harisingh’s Kashmir with India and create one nation.
It is essential for every creative person, may be a writer or a film maker, to follow the very basic principles that Country comes first!!! Much before personal aspirations and beliefs. If by spilling few unwanted lexis, the stateliness and dignity of the mother land is blemished, then the control over such Freedom of Expression, is a must..

The healthy Gujarat.. Food Fortification Project.. Swarnimsiddhi-26.

In the past, the people of Gujarat, especially the women folks and the children, suffered largely, of improper and insufficient diet. Among the socially and financially backward classes, the most prevalent sickness was Anemia. This anemic conditions were due to lack of healthy diet and availability and affordability of strength providing food. As a result, eventually the sufferer had to resort to absorbing expensive vitamin supplements, which caused a huge hole in people’s pockets.
The realization regarding this awareness against healthy food began in 2005. From January 2005 to 2007, various programmes about this , were planned. Through seminars and alertness, a simplest solution of adding Iron supplements, to food products was projected. These programmes were hugely successful and they were conducted on a public-private partnership. Many known personalities have been part of such projects.
Gujarat Govt. and the Hon. C.M. sensed the urgent need to create a generation of healthy and strong citizens and to put this into action, he inspired the private corporate to raise a hand of aiding the concerned project.
The Gujarat Roller Floor Miller Association, assisted Gujarat Govt. Micronutrient Initiatives [Canada and India]Wheat Production Promotion Society of India and the Chemical and Engineering Industries to get this project in the action.
The first phase of the scheme included buying the raw-material at the reasonable rate, providing technical assistance etc. The state Govt. provides 50% concession to the floor mills, for the materials to be added in the floor as well oil.
In the first phase, the Govt. resolute to prepare the 2.5 lakhs ton Wheat floor and add Iron Folic Acid prepared by the Nicholas Piramal India Ltd. The healthy Wheat Floor would be marketed at 10 kg. package, with a health trade mark on it. Every kilo of wheat would contain 30 miligrames of Iron and Folic Acid added to it.
In the intial stage, the state Govt. began distributing this healthy wheat supplemented floor to the ration card holders in the Fair Price Shops.
After successfully implementing this mega project in the open market, the state Govt. planned to execute this plan in the Hospitals, Jail, Hostels, Ashram and such institutes, Mid-day meal scheme etc. on a grand scale.
To unearth, the outcome of this healthy Wheat scheme, the Sports Authority of Gujarat, had arranged a programme in March 2006. The sports person of different financial backgrounds and belonging to different sports were included for sampling. Out of the 19 people [men and women], it was revealed that after using the Fortified Floor, their level of Hemoglobin had risen considerably. Their input, physical capacity and level of energy increased greatly.
As this initiatives by Gujarat Govt. turned out to be highly successful, the UN WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME, decided to provide aid to this scheme, where as the Punjab and Haryana Govt. invited the officials of Gujaarat to prepare such samplings.
The Gujarat State Rationing Dept. distributes 50,000 matrix ton of such Fortfied floor where as the entire usage of wheat is about 3 lakhs tones.
In January 2007, the different Oil Mills of the state, Refiner and Packers prepared about 9,02,259 m. tones of Oil, adding this fortified supplements.
The progress of Gujarat is not lopsided, avoiding or overlooking the healthyness of the common men residing there. It is inclusive and promotes the development of health and wealth simultaneously.
For Shri Narendra Modiji, the well being of the citizens of Gujarat, is at the top of his priority...

The double standards.. Why?

The dreamland of India.. The city that is imagined to be the’Shanghai of India’..
A few years back, the Hon. P.M. and the Hon. C.M. of Maharashtra, Mr. Ashok Chavan, had proposed and dreamt and stated that Mumbai was on its way to become as developed and planned and systemized like Shanghai of China..
The days and years passed by..
But,
The Govt. probably forgot about the idea or got severly confused and Mumbai has turned into something else.. A gargage full of roads and constant traffic jams, even in the smallest of bylane with no control of noise pollution, as Mumbai is a metropolice, [good enough] and every caste, creed, religion and nationality living here have independence to perform their religious and social celebrations in this democratic country...!!!
But,
The democracy to be enjoyed by a common man, to reside and move about peacefully has been endangered. I, absolutely do not mean that the freedom to be themselves for citizen of this city be paralysed...
But,
I, in my heart in heart, sense that why this different parameters are being used, in conducting different celebrations. The early morning Azaan is allowed, with no control over the noise level, in the wee hours of the dawn, but the Navratri festival, which is no longer solely Gujarat’s festival has to undergo mindless time limits, which in city life of Mumbai is practically not permitted. How does a human being, working in the town side, can ever reach his/her residence, get freshened up and attend the Navratri festival starting at 7 p.m? By the time, he or she can get over with work and daily chorus, in Mumbai lives, the mikes have to be off by 10 p.m. It is completely absurd and day by day, the festivity is forcefully bunged by far too many. Sadly, to say, the rules regarding noise pollution do not apply early in the morning, for Azaan, meaning it is not disturbing!!! if that is the reason employed in its favor!!!
Navratri is one festival, enjoyed by young, old and every Indian.. It does not belong to Gujarat alone.. Durga Pooja is celebrated ever so enthusiastically by people from Bengal, too.
If the Govt. of Maharashtra, is completely democratic in nature, it should have maintained the equilibrium in sensibility..
But,
What do you expect from followers of appeasement policies and vote bank politics?

Welcoming the new arrivals with open arms.. Chiranjeevi Yojna. Swarnimsiddhi-25.

Every year, the world over, the death rate among the pregnant women has been about 5 lakhs per year and out of that, almost 1,36,000 take place in India.
In 2005, the infant death rate in Gujarat was 64 out of 100 children born and was 389 among the women. The prime cause behind this high death rate has been due to lack of sufficient infrastructure available for socially and economically backward classes.
The Gujarat Govt. inaugurated the ‘Chiranjeevi yojna’ in 2005. Under which, the families below poverty line are included for attaining the facilities of finances and social aids as their means are insufficient.
The Govt. cracks a deal with the private Gynecologists to provide necessary aids of every kind to the pregnant women living under BPL.
Originally, this scheme was initiated in Banaskantha, Dahod, Kutch, Panchmahal and Sabarkantha in December 2005. The total population of these five districts was 105 lakhs and 73% were living under BPL. About 1,10,000 deliveries took place every year. Under this Yojna, in the first year itself, about 2518 complicated cases and 1502 LSCS were included, out of 31,641 total number of deliveries.
At the time of making a agreement, the basic amount of 25,000 Rs. was given to the concerned Gynecologist. The pregnant women were not to pay. A Sewa Pack was established which incorporated the check-up fees, ultra sonography fees and the travelling expense along with a companion for during the pregnancy months. The District Health Officer was in-charge of incorporating this entire Yojna. Each doctor on panel required to maintain complete file of concerned case. The private practioner, on panel sends the reports to the health officer of Districts and the private doctors impart their service free of cost. Now, this scheme has been adopted by every districts of the state.
The BPL families are given vouchers and BPL cards. They can visit any doctor on the panel and obtain service, with no monetary payments. The package also includes the post delivery medication as well as travelling cost. Thus, with high rate of success to this Yojna, the Govt. has integrated the entire Gujarat state to be facilitated by this scheme.
About 80.2% of total BPL women, have registered with this Yojna.
Due to the Sewa Packaging under this Yojna, the rate of Ceasarian, has dropped down drastically from 15% to 4.7%
The Private specialists, have imparted their service on a large scale. Out of 1800 such doctors, 801 have been part of this Yojna and they have conducted 95066 deliveries. Thus, this Yojna has been the cause of amalgamation of hi-fi specialists imparting their valuable know-how to the socially and financially down-troddens.
The state expenditure, till 2007 was 154.30 lakhs .
Uttarakhand, Delhi and West Bengal have taken initiatives to adopt such measures, taking an example from Gujarat. The infant death rate which was 64 and pregnant women death rate which was 389 in 2005, have decreased to 54 and 172, respectively.
The CHIRANJEEVI YOJNA has received Asian Innovation Award from Global Antrepolice, Singapore.
Thus, every child is welcomed with love and affection and necessary care by the visionary C.M. Shri Narendra Modiji...
Vande Gujarat.

The non-appeasement policy of Shri Narendra Modi wins laurels..

The bubble of allegory has burst..
For innumerable years, Congress and all the other parties, who claimed to be shouldering the responsibilities of nurturing the minorities and thus contending over their votes, transferring those minorities into their vote banks, have been shown their deserved place, by none other than the minorities themselves.
A large number of Muslims have voted for Shri Narendra Modi’s BJP in Gujarat. Not only once, but again and again. Actually, the trend had begun on a slighter scale, during the 2007 Vidhan Sabha polls of Gujarat. I, myself have come across, people belonging to Muslim community, who have voted for BJP candidates, for the simple reason of mammoth economic and civic development presented by Modiji’s Gujarat Govt. in those 5 years of rule. [2002-2007] and mind well, the development opportunities were absolutely unbiased, presenting every citizen an equal chance to grow themselves.. Thus, the Muslims progressed financially as well as their security was ensured to cent percent as no riots took place in those 5 years. [and, none has taken place since then..]
What is the basic need for a person to grow?
Ample of evenhanded opportunities to grow economically as well as secured social and civic life.
Shri Modiji strived to provide every citizen, an immense prospects to prosper, by his Good Governance.
And,
Thus, the Muslims living in Gujarat, flourished immensely.. [Read Sachar Committee report, by ex. Chief Justice Shri R. Sachar, the committee which was appointed by none other than the Hon. P.M.]
Then during the Kathlal [Nadiad district] by-election in September 2010, the seat which belonged to Congress since the advent of Gujarat state, was won by BJP, with a whopping margin of 21,500 votes where the Muslim votes changed the scenario.
Then, immediately following the Corporation Election of six Mahanagarpalikas, confirmed this trend of awakening among Muslim voters.
In recently concluded elections, 25 to 30% Muslim votes have been in favor of BJP. The motivation behind this shift is completely based on non-partial conduct by Gujarat Govt. where in reality, the Muslims are treated at par with Hindus, to be precise, both are treated as Indian citizens and no special favor is granted to any of them. Neither the Hindu is presented with higher opportunities, nor the Muslim with more grants and extra subsidies. The only module is growth, which Shri Modiji has imparted ceaselessly.
And,
At last but not the least, the Muslims in Gujarat have turned into a loyal citizen from being a votebank, where in they were used to be in power, mainly by money power of a few hundred rupees at the time of election or subvention that completely killed their equilibrium of development, living them backward socially and educationally and as a result financially.
But,
Why would Congress care?
They had successfully created this façade of minority savior and eventually turning them into a herd of vote bank to be in power.
But,
The committed and consistent efforts with pure conscience acted as an eye-opener for Muslims and slowly they observed the change in their lives.
And,
They replied strappingly through the medium of casting their votes in favor of the one who has presented them with esteemed position.
In recently concluded elections, my very close friend, who was contesting from Vadodara, came across an incidence, where her panel [in Gujarat, not a single candidate contests but a panel of three, where in a seat for one woman is reserved] was requested vehemently by the Muslim group of that area, to convey their promise of supporting the BJP. They voiced that at the time of every elections, Congress sheds a few hundred rupees to them, in the pretext of buying their votes and they oblige.
But,
Later, the Congress representative is never present to solve their numerous problems and they have none to turn to. The few rupees last for a fewer days and they continue with their basic miseries as their self elected representative would not be available till the next elections, with again a few hundreds!!! It’s a miserable state to be in. Thus, they wished to let go of the money paid by Congress and vote for the party which imparted equal growth and equal status.
And,
The entire population of six Mahanagarpalikas of Gujarat have replied robustly in favor of the party and leader that has given them growth of the highest order.
Out of the total number of voting, 80% of votes have been in favor of BJP. Out of 550 seats contested, 442 won by BJP and 99 by Congress...
Thumbs down Congress and their appeasement tactics...

The roads that led to prosperity. Pragatipath Yojna. Sw

Gujarat, my native state, in my memory as a kid, was envisaged as a dusty and rural, with lack of concrete roads and connectivity.
And,
I hated going there.
Today, I hate coming back from there.
Same is the case with great number of people, who once step their feet on the soil of Gujarat, gets so engrossed in the ever-growing development in every sphere, that one gets captivated in the scale of progress growing around.
In 2001, Shri Narendra Modi’s Govt. came into power on October 7th for the first time and since then no major sphere of development has been left untouched. The visionary C.M. foresaw the necessity of mammoth network of road connectivity within the state to bring about the social as well as financial growth. Gujarat, being industrially inclined state, the smooth connectivity of industries with the market place was of prime importance. The availability of industrial raw material and trans-corporation in large scale, attracts the mega corporate to invest here. Thus, the accessibility of far away industrial sites from the market place as well as ports and station becomes qui-essential.
The Gujarat Govt. implemented the ‘Pragatipath Yojna’ in 2004, which initiated linking Tribal belts, Industrial, Coastal and Rural roads to be connected with the main roads of the states. The prime motive behind executing this project has been broadening of high speed nine corridors, containing 3,710 km. of length. Out of which, 2,636 km. of national as well state highway has been upgraded. 1,074 km. of state highway, has been undertaken for up gradation. The entire yojna, which started in 2005 coasted about 25 billion Rs.
In phase 1,
This phase came under operation, in 2005-06. The expenditure amounted to Rs. 1615 lakhs and it developed 370 km.
In phase 2,
This came under operation in 2006-07. The expenditure amounted to Rs. 869 millions, which constituted the development of 153.90 km. in 8 districts.
The rest of the 571 km. were developed by private funding and its length was accumulated in the State Hihghway development project.
The gains...
1.This connectivity enabled the tribal belts, coastal areas, industrial townships and rural land to be efficiently connected with the farthest area of the state.
2.The ports, industries, agricultural products and the tribal belts have been presented wit accessibility and opportunity to grow. This connectivity also projects connecting of North-South, as well as West-East high speed corridors.
3. The travelling time has gone down considerably.
4. The roads of Gujarat have become an attraction to encourage people to invest in every which way in the state, bringing in more and more investment.
Thus, the ‘Makkhan Roads’ as they are known by visitors have become a proposition that Gujarat and every Gujarati can boast of. To site an example, A friend of mine, belonging to Television Industry of Mumbai, happened to travel through Gujarat by road, in his journey to Delhi, while passing through Gujarat roadways, he was so overwhelmed [well. he has travelled by road to most of the part of the country and lives in Mumbai, thus acquainted with the condition of Maharashtra roads!!!] that when Gujarat border ended, he got off the car, bow down to the butter like roads of Gujarat with folded hands and chanting Shri Modiji’s name with a big thank you in his heart..
The Gujarat roads, have carved its way in bringing about gargantuan growth of the state.
Vande Gujarat.

Rahul shows his Gandhi colour

The Congi Yuvraj...

well, he is just a crown prince of undemocratic Congress {I} and absolutely not of sovereign republic of Mother India. God alone knows, why the Congressmen are handicapped and spineless to be able to think beyond Nehru-Gandhi offspring and why do they feel honored licking the feet of uncultured and uninformed man, whose only credential is being born in that family. This prince of Congress party has exposed his uncouth mentality.

The Congress culture can go to any extent in two matters.
1. Appeasing Muslims and of course not out of any love lost for them but in fear of losing their vote bank.
2. In abusing RSS.

Now that their popularity is conclusively diminished due to unimaginable price rise, unabashed corruption and anti-indian economic policies, their crown prince has resorted to the only option he has known since the days of his great granpa,to spit un-instigated, ill-informed and uncalled for venom against Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

A person who possesses mindset to weigh- a confirmed, rather acclaimed terrorist outfit such as SIMI and well-honored social organization such as RSS in one scale has to be completely unaware of the unbiased and humane services performed, without differentiating between caste, class or creed in the innumerable natural calamities like Andhra Pradesh cyclone or Latur and Kutch earthquake or collapse of Macchu dam in Morbi. The swayamsevaks of RSS have never projected any kind of discrimination based on religion while performing their duties. They have ceaselessly devoted themselves with dedication of mind, money, soul and body for the uplifting of the catastrophe-stuck area. Thus, this poisonous statement from Rahul ‘Baba’ portrays his thoughtless schooling, [Sanskar, to be precise] or the endeavor to appease Muslims..

Total thumbs down to Rahul Gandhi.... Who has the audacity to emit absolutely disrespectful bunch of words for RSS and moreover, putting it in the same boat as SIMI. Can he please expose the incidences of terrorism that RSS has been involved in? Except Pragnya Singh Case, there has been not even a charge sheet filed against RSS and mind well, even Sadhvi Pragnya Singh’s case is not been proved.
The further sorry state of affair is that other Congress leaders like Digvijay ‘parrot’ singh affirm the coarse behavior of a Gandhi, without applying their minds
or
The entire Congress has collectively lost it?

The constant source of energy that has lit up lives of Gujarat's every household..Jyortigrgram Yojna.Swarnimsiddhi-23.

The growth of qualitative standard of human lives is of primary importance, for the progress of any nation. For achieving this augmentation, it is utmost important to develop our rural areas. The economist in Mahatma Gandhi, too, had advocated this requirement as the ‘need of the hour’, to impede the migration of citizens from their native villages to urban areas, creating extra burden on cities and towns and villages turning more and more barren.
People settled in rural areas, voyage to nearby and sometime far off cities and towns, in need of opportunity to generate money. As the result, the families were breaking down in rural areas and those having been compelled to shift to urban areas were living a non-fulfilling emotional as well as non-hygenic physical lives. To eradicate such miseries suffered by people, the action in necessary direction was inevitable. The Hon. C.M. of Gujarat, Shri Narendra Modi, diagnosed the anguish that was experienced by people and decided to put into action, the plan of surgery.
Shri Modiji promulgated the plan to create a RURBAN ECONOMY. An economy that would be a progressive combination of rural as well as urban areas and which would promote every facility, of urbanization in villages.
The basic dictate, needed to impart this Golden situation would be availability of constant electric supply, which would encourage people to not migrate to urban areas but be provided with the similar facilities at their door step. The availability of three phase electric supply to farms as well as other small scale industries facilitated them to create more input and extract still more output.
The creation of Jyotirgram Yojna, in Gujarat has worked as a magic wand in the exemplary development achieved by the state. Apart from accomplishing economic development, maintaining the equilibrium between the social fabric of family lives has also been attained.
Jyotirgram Yojna, was initiated in 2003, on a trial base. and it was completed in March 2006. Now, it has been transformed in most parts of the state. About 18,065 rural areas and 9,681 suburbs were the recipient through this plan. The expense was estimated to be 12,000 crores and the entire sum was provided by the Gujarat Govt. About 56,599 km. of fresh pipe lines and 1,262 new transformers were created. The entire creation of this mega project occurred in the record time of 30 months.
The pipe lines for agricultural usage and non-agricultural usage have been split. This Yojna also controls the pilfering of electricity..
The supply was initially divided between two different sectors.
1.Agricultural
and
2.Commorcial, Industrial and household.
The agricultural users were provided with eight long hours of dedicated supply. The rest of the users were provided with constant supply in the other hours. When it was learnt that the group of people residing on the farm were left out in the two-tired divison of electricity, novel plan was adopted for house-hold and commercial supply.
The Scrape Transformers owne4d by Gujarat Electricity Board designed a fresh plan to designate supply for farm residents and 1470 new transformers were set up to furnish single phase electric supply to them.
As a result, the electricity sector earned 50,000 crores higher INR from April 2005 to March 2006. Due to Jyortigram Yojna, with the capacity of 112 megawatt of electricity, the number of consumers have increased from 70 lakhs in 2003 to 86 lakhs in 2006. The deficiet in supply and distribution of electricity has gone down by 4.88% in 2005-06 and 5.40% in 2008-07.
Aggregated employment has increased and the swing towards urban areas have decreased by 33%. Ex. A worker employed on Diamond sharpening machine were required to shift base to certain urban areas and live their in unhygienic conditions leaving behind their families in native place. With advent of constant supply of electricity in the entire state, has enabled the worker to set up a machine in his vicinity and work from home, allowing him to stay at home.
The working hours in the rural areas have gone up, considerably due to constant three phase supply and resulted in higher profits of these units.
The education time for girls and boys have shot up by 92% and 81% respectively.
26% of time of rural women is saved in house-hold work, providing more time for other activities.
53% families can contribute more to their incomes by working at night. Thus, people can do two to three jobs as the constant electricity enables them to work ceaselessly even late in the night.
The Jyortigram Yojna has been a boon in the development of Gujarat and it has changed the face of Gujarat.
It was nominated as one of the best development schemes by IBN-7 conducted Diamond State Awards, in 2007.
Vande Gujarat.

Dharma Yuddh or Dharma Samanvay...

Weather you look at the issue from the historical point if view, patriotic point of view or purely logical point of view, it is imperative that Muslims of India should accept that the Ram-Janambhoomi is a site for Mandir and a Masjid can not stand there.
To put it historically,
History states that once the Muslims of Junagarh [Gujarat] aspired to build Mosque on Girnar, which is pre-dominantly Hindu and Jain pilgrimage center, Nawab of Junagarh, Mohabbat khan Babi, had resolved the matter by rejecting the plea of Muslims stating not to interfere in the religious sentiments of the fellow religion and had ordered that no Mosque would be built on Girnar and had reserved the site of Mira Datar hills for Muslims to build their Masjid, where no Mandir is built. When a king, who had clear leaning towards Pakistan and who eventually escaped there, had such crystal clear vision, that disallowed destruction or harassment of one religion by the other, why can’t the current rulers be pro-active in solving the dispute on the similar pathway. It is a proven historical fact that in 1528, Mir Baqi, a noble under Mughal emperor Babar had built the mosque destructing the existing temple. The original Hindu temple, which was demolished by Mir Baqi should have been restored much earlier.
If we consider patriotic criteria, why the onus of maintaining brotherhood lies only on the shoulder of Hindus??? The Indian Muslims consider themselves to be very much Indian, it should be their pious duty to contribute in up keeping peaceful co-existence by respecting religious sentiments of the people who have been original inhabitant of this soil. The history can not be erased, nor it can be twisted. It is the past that leads to present and constructs the brick of the future. The history says that there were more than 3000 temples demolished by the Muslim invaders and all that Hindus have demanded is restoring three of them! Yesterday, my lawyer cousin Renu Parekh messaged me urgently, to watch the discussion being telecasted on News X, in which the leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, stated that ‘Their demad is to rebuild only three temples, which have been the birthplace of their [Hindu] source of faith. Their Gods. Ayodhya, the Ram Janmbhoomi , which was demolition to build Babri Masjid, Mathura, the Shree Krishna Janmsthal, where an Idgah stands today, after obliteration of the temple and the ‘prakatyasthal’ of Lord Shiva in Banaras. The Historical facts have proven time and again, that there have been innumerable temples which had been destroyed by the Muslim invaders but to demand to restore all of them would endanger the harmonious equilibrium of the nation. Thus, the places of worship, that have been birth place of Hindu source of faith are restored, the Hindu- Muslim unity could be assured.’ When a Hindu Organization, which has been accused ever for being extremist, can come forward for peaceful co-living, why the Muslims can not come forward and value the other’s religious beliefs.
If one dwells into the leaf of yesteryears, one can observe that the Hindus never attack but react. If a Hindu’s religious beliefs are targeted every now and then and then if he is expected to keep mum, he reacts but a Hindu never begins hurting the other’s religious sentiments.
On the same show, on News X, Dr. Subramaniam Swami of Janta Party [mind well, not BJP.. otherwise people would judge his comments as pro-saffron!!!] commented the logical aspect why the site should be handed over to Hindus. He stated that the Hon. Supreme Court had made an observation that ‘The Muslims do not need a mosque for praying and they do perform Namaz anywhere but a Hindu prays before a deity and that too, in a temple. Thus the Hindus require temple for their expression of prayer.’
On the basis of this, the Ram Janmbhoomi site, which is the birthplace of Hindu’s source of faith, should be respectfully handed over to them.. Dr. Swamy stated. A few years back in 2002, the Hon. Supreme Court had ordered the Archeological Department of India to conduct a survey to find out about the ruins of temple that existed before it was demolished to construct the Babri Masjid. In August 2003, the Archeology Dept. handed over the report, that the ruins of temple had been located.
But,
Unfortunately, the Muslims opposed it.
The secularists argue that the past be forgotten and deem our country as a new nation after independence.
But,
There is a large number of population till date, who was born before 1947, who has witnessed number of events that took place like partition struggle etc. Can they eradicate those memories that they never were born in Undivided India and had to leave empty handed, leaving behind their prosperity for which they had toiled for years. The argument to erase every documental fact regarding religious beliefs is utter nonsense. The suedo-seculars demand that Hindus should forget their claim on their God’s birth place, can the same people demand, from Muslims that if at all the Mecca-Madina or Jamma Masjid, the Muslim source of faith is met with similar consequences, they [Muslims] would resign themselves to keeping quite? Then, why these one sided view of secularism???
It is again true that not all Muslims have this non-considerable view point and there are nationalist Muslims, who rejoice the brotherhood with Hindus.
But,
The clergymen of Muslims and our Govt. at the center, have considered Muslims, who are unfortunately backward and uneducated on a large scale, to be a huge Vote Bank, who are tossed around for being powerful.
Muslim faith may have been brought to India by the invaders but the people who converted to Islam were originally Hindus. Their forefathers were Hindus.
And,
When changes faith, one does not change fathers.
Or
Start ridiculing the beliefs of their fathers.
Once upon a time, there was a practice in Punjab, that each family gave one son to Panth Khalsa and thus the entire Sikh community came into existence. Sikhs, though have different set of belifs, they do not scoff at Hindu faith. As they realize that with faith ancestry does not change.
Muslims of India should realize this.. Sometime in past, their own forefathers would have worshipped Bhagwan Ram and would have believed that Ayodhya to be Bhagwan’s birthplace. They should realize that invaders were foreigners without any connection with heritage of India but they themselves share the same roots. It is eminent that they care for Hindu sentiments.
Bharat Mata Ki Jay..
Vande Mataram..

Putri Devo Bhav... Beti Bhacavo Abhiyan... Swarnim Siddhi-22.

Daughter, the word echoes sentiment of care and concern, adore and affection, warmth and worship... and all the emotions that portrays a bonding of a lifetime and is unrivaled to any other closeness saga.. A relationship that is to the core altruistic...
As said in English...
A son is a son, till he gets his wife
And,
A daughter is a daughter, for all your life...
The Indian culture projects,
The daughter as someone, who is the savior of two families...
The one she is borne into and where she leaves her footprints of innocence and vulnerability and keeps the household animated with her mesmerizing presence.
And,
When she marries and leaves the household of her parents, she carries with her the devotion and dedication, the commitment to bring about rays of happiness in her in-laws home and serves endlessly to see a smile on her new relatives.
Today, as the world celebrates Daughters Day...
I, bow in exaltation to all the lovely daughters of the world, who have lit up lives of you and me and all the proud parents of a girl child..
It has been an irony that with the advancement in Medical Science, the new invention of testing the fetus’s sex, in the primary pregnancy has become inevitable nuisance. The eradication of female fetus is one of the biggest blot on our society and cultural heritage. According to the national aggregate of projecting the ratio of male and female, considering the age group of 0-6 years, it was 927:1000. In comparison, Gujarat projected the ratio of 883:1000. Thus, Gujarat Govt. took up to bring about this ratio to minimum in 2001.
The advent of Rurban Economy in Gujarat, has formulated numerous Ultra Sound Sonography Clinics in every nook and corner of the state. The ill effect of otherwise progressive availability is killing of female fetus. Thus, the problem of aborting girl child is much more severe in rural and urban areas than among tribals.
The daughters have been very close to Shri Narendra Modiji’s t heart. He has been instrumental in fulfilling every dreams cherished by daughters of Gujarat. Thus, to act on them being born, without being humiliated on the basis of their sex, has been a subject very near and dear to him. He took up to eliminate this unlawful discrimination suffered by female child.
And,
Thus, Gujarat Govt. started ‘Beti Bachao’ Abhiyan. By 2010, they have been able to achieve the ratio near to 1:1 in the age group of 0-6.
Following steps have been taken for smooth operation of this movement...
1. The Gujarat Govt. spent Rs. 2800 crores for IMR IN 2007-08 to present different scholarships to female child.
2. Conducted various sting operations on laboratories as well as medical institutions, uninformed and took up strict actions against involved.
3. Conducting Sex-Determination test has to undergo austere standards and really necessary cases are given allowance to conduct such.
4. All the doctors practicing in the state have to proclaim that the abortions conducted by them did not carry the female fetus.
5. All the ministers to M.L.A.’s to M.P.’s have to conduct programmes expressing the importance of girl child and bring about change in the thinking of commoners regarding the same.
6. To initiate programmes and cultural activities to present and create awareness regarding humiliation faced by a daughter, even before she enters this world.
7. To commence female courts for imparting justice.
8. To train the widows to be able to lead a life of honor and respect.
9. To initiate permission of mother’s name while entering the child in the school.
10. To provide number of incentives to daughters to be educated and at par with male child.
Gujarat Govt. has abducted about 144 ultra sound sonography units under PNDT rules. About 79 court cases are in progress against culprits.

The Con-Man Wealth Game.. The heart-ache it has presented in every nationalist Indian's heart.

The first question we, Indians need to ask our selves..
Do we need the extravaganza called Common Wealth Games? A part of our heart would declare, why not, every developing country would be hugely benefitted monetarily, with sooo many people visiting and the infrastructure expense, once occurred, would be paid off eventually..
Plus,
India, would earn colossal fame and prestige..
Great..
These are the answers, you, me, a whole bunch of us consoled our selves with. In reality, these arguments were put forward to us, by our dear UPA ministers and our honorable Prime Minister.
And,
We digested the argument, like sweet and smooth ‘sheera’.
We were presented with the illustrations of China’s mounting popularity and upward economic growth in every fields, after the Beijing Olympics..
And,
We, the India’s gullible citizens got absolutely carried away, without giving any deeper thoughts, weather, such a success to the whole event, would be affordable, possible and eventually desirable?
It is true that on the first glance, the infrastructural development, like stadiums, hotels etc. that would be taking place, for conducting such events, would pose to be very attractive form of development.
And,
It would be argued that eventually development would bring prosperity to the people.. It is true that any developing country, needs to keep a perfect equilibrium between the various kinds of developments and any sort of development projects are worthwhile and welcome.
But,
Dwelling one’s self a little deeper, into the matter, it would appear that we still have not reached a stage, where the above mentioned infrastructural development would or should be made priority. There is a mammoth need to spend the funds in gigantic volumes for people oriented projects, which would ensure them availability of basic needs in plenty. If the gargantuan amount spent on constructing innumerable stadiums and star hotels could have been preferred to be spent on that...! Today, in an interview with Barkha Dutt on NDTV, one of the UPA’s leader, Shri Mani Shankar Aiyyar, himself pointed out that the about 70,000 crores have been recklessly spent on the event that is known as Common Wealth, and which is proposed and projected to earn the effervescent success to a nation, which badly requires that enormous sum of money for countless precedence that are of primary importance.
He, even after being an important part and parcel of Congress, could not resist on pouring out his genuine feelings.
And,
If that was less,
The stumpy level of shoddy work that has been done in construction as well as maintenance, has won as a title of ‘Shameless’!!! Lot many representatives and participants from various countries are opting out proclaiming the accommodation conditions ‘unlivable’!!!
And,
Even after such a huge fiasco and humiliating comments, the authority by the name of Mr. Suresh Kalmadi, Mr. M.S.Gill or Mrs. Sheila Dixit go on denying that all is not well!!! I wonder, in what words, Mrs. Gandhi, their ‘super’ boss or the Hon. P.M. has confronted them? The concerned beuracrate, Mr. Bhanot has the audacity, to state in self defence for the accusation of poor hygine and sanitation facilities, that their [the visitors from different countries] and our necessities and standards are different!!! What kind of shabby and uncouth answer is that? The availability of the best hygienic conditions, is of primary importance and to demand that from the host, is not aluxery that they are demanding for. The Hon. C.M. of Delhi has also failed miserably in controlling the time management factor for completion of infrastructure.
Shri Suresh Kalmadi, the minister-in-charge, constantly bragged that this event was going to be bigger and more memorable than the Beijing Olympic..
But,
Have any of these officials had asked their conscious that did they collectively possess [individually, would be too much to demand], the inner strength or the will power to act rightly and promptly, when the time called for? Did they have the courage to take prompt action of the most severe kinds, in case of terror attacks or for provision of security? [To remind you all, there was a terror attack in Beijing, on the very first day and the terrorists were captured immediately and were sent to hell [and not heaven- the five star jails], before the games ended!!!]
We are a country, which was made of lower class and recently, we have put our first few steps as upcoming middle class. We have too many main concerns of developments to take care of, apart from strong and committed impudence. And, for God’s sake, we are no super economic power as yet, and can ill-afford the exorbitant increase in expense and the entire budget going hay-wire. On the contarary, this opportunity, to show case the world, the talent of India has been miserably lost. The Indian athlete Aparna Popat, pointed out to a T.V. channel, that the ‘Advantage Home Pitch’ has been turned into ‘Disadvantage at home’.
And,
The sole and main reason being fraudulent and dishonest tendencies by Shri Suresh Kalmadi and company and of course, inability or disinterest by Hon. P.M. and Smt. Sonia Gandhi, to take strict actions against the trio of Suresh Kalmadi, Sheila Dixit and Sports Minister Shri Gill. All Suresh Kalmadi has offered in plenty, is ridiculous amouts of spending. Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, Member of Parliament from Himachal Pradesh and the chief of H.P. Cricket Control Board, pointed out that recently he spent Rs. 48 crores to prepare a stadium in Dharamsala and here, Rs. 981 crores are being spent for preparation of the same!!! What more should we express?
It is extremely painful, the way the prestige of our country has been put at stake internationally, by the nincompoop leaders leading the nation and the event which was supposed to be a memorable and prestigious, is turning out to be a national shame. Every day or is it too much to wait, rather every few hours, the news of some disaster occurring appears and more heart ache is felt. Eventually, the games will come and go, but leaving behind an iota of bitter cachet and excruciating reminiscent of sleaze, non committal intentions and what not...

The Bus Rapid Transit System.. The feather in the crown of Gujarat's progress. Swarnimsiddhi-21.

The city of Karnavati, was founded by Gurjar king, Karna Dev [father of the great Siddharaj Jaisingh], in about 1100’s. Later, when the Solanki dynesty’s rule ended and the great Gurjar Desh was won over by the Muslim king, Ahmedshah, he founded the city of Ahmedabad in 1411, which was a walled city, on the eastern bank of the river Sabarmati.
Now,
Ahmedabad is the seventh largest metropolis in India and the largest in Gujarat.
It is estimated that by 2031, the city will accommodate 10 million people. The present spread of 466 sq. kms. is expected to reach 1200 sq. kms. The growth is largely dependant on accessibility and a focused development of infrastructure. The Ahmedabad-Mumbai Golden Corridor is an important development axis in Western India. It has seven major roadways, one expressway and five rail networks. A new corridor between Ahmedabad and Pune has recently emerged, connecting the city to four metropolois such as Vadodara, Surat, Mumbai and Pune.
Ahmedabad’s transportation system is predominantly dependent on roadway system. Public transport mainly constitutes the city-run buses [AMTS] and privately run shared and non shared autorikshaws. Buses constitute 15% of the total commute while bicycles account for 18%.
State run buses [GSRTC] bring a sizable number of commuters from cities, towns and villages across the state and everyday approximately 2,00,000 [two way passengers] arrive at the central business district. All most 33% of people use public transport.
The biggest question that growing cities are facing today is how to deal with the immense criss-cross movement of people. Ordinarily, public transport buses weave in and out of the mixed traffic on the roads. This causes problems to both, the passengers in terms of alighting and disembarking as well as other traffic causing delays and traffic congestion.
The Bus Rapid Transit System [BRTS] is a concept that details out of a dedicated traffic lane for the movement of public transport buses. In a BRT system, since the vehicles travel in exclusive lanes, they avoid the congestion on the road. At the same time, other motorized traffic is benefitted due to shifting of buses to dedicated lanes. There is a provision of segregated right-of-way infrastructure, quality buses, rapid and frequent bus operation and easy boarding, alighting and transfer. The concept of BRTS is to encourage more people on the public transit system which, with high quality service is easily feasible. BRTS is a system being adopted by many countries across the world as a comprehensive system that is relatively low on capital costs. Curitiba, Bogota in Columbia, Maxico city , Jakarta, Beijing, Sao Paulo are some of the cities where BRTS has been successfully been implemented. In Buggota, Columbia there is no railway and the entire transport service is based on BRTS.
In India, BRTS has been adopted in several cities like Pune, Delhi, Indore etc. but it’s been most successful in Ahmedabad. As part of the vision, of ‘Accessible Ahmedabad’, BRTS is officially called ‘Janmarg’- a route for people, the name presented by the Hon. C.M. Shri Narendra Modiji.
Ahmedabad BRTS is based on equitable sharing of road space and an inclusiveness that encourages all segments and groups to board the bus. Data analysis reveal that almost 17% use bicycle and 37% of the people still walk. Hence, the BRTS design included giving priority to creating cycle tracks and adequate sidewalks as the part of the Right of Way.
The Govt. of Gujarat, had declared the year 2005, as ‘the year of urban development’ [Shaheri Vikas Varsh] During this particular year, the urban development dept. undertook various initiatives to resolve urban issues such as traffic congestion. The Gujarat Govt. [GIDB], Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation [AMC] and Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority jointly drafted a comprehensive urban mobility plan keeping in mind, the implementation of BRTS. CEPT University was assigned the work of the preparation of a detailed project report [DPR] for the implementation of BRTS in Ahmedabad. In meanwhile, the Govt. of India, announced the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission [JNNURM] for urban development and the AMC submitted its proposal to the Govt. of India. which was first of its kind. As approved by the ministry of Urban Development, the AMC has implemented the BRTS project in phases. The BRTS project was approved in November 2006 and the work commenced in 2007. The first stretch of phase 1, from RTO to Pirana, a distance of 12.5 km. was dedicated for the people on 14th October 2009. The Janmarg would be covering the span of 88.8 km. of network, through the city, connecting the central areas as well as industrial and residential areas as well as institutional areas. The project being developed with an estimated cost of Rs. 1000 crores, which received support from JnNURM. The share of central, state and local government is in the ratio of 35:15:50.
For the first three months, the travel was free of cost. The total expenditure per day, for the running of first phase is 31 lakhs per day. 10 lakhs people travel through it everyday and there are 950 buses in implication.
The road section accommodates an exclusive bus lane segregated from mixed traffic by a railing with a landscaped curb. Signals are provided at all crossovers to aid pedestrian movement. A special cadet force has been trained to direct the traffic at the BRTS junctions. The special split flyovers have been designed to allow the bus to move in the designated buslane, which is particularly important at critical traffic intersections to keep the bus accessible for passengers. Overall, five depots and workshops are planned with each depot on an average holding 50-60 buses initially and expanding to 80-1—buses finally. Each location would be handed over to the private operator, who would provide day time parking facilities to other operators as part of mutual understanding. The workshop would consist of state of art facilities with at least 10 maintanance pits, washing and cleaning yards and siesel/CNG stations. The depot locations are stationed at Ranip, Chandoda, Iscon Circle, Naroda.
The Silver Grey and Orange buses plying the bus way are specially designed for Janmarg operation. They have..
1.High Floor-900mm above road level.
2.Flat Floor-easy for people to move about, especially when crowded and for wheelchair.
3.Clean Euro-3, diesel fuel- environment friendly.
4.Pneumetic suspension-smooth ride.
5.Automated Doors-1.96m wide centrally placed, handles large crowds moving in and out.
6.Seating capacity-36 people and Standing Capacity-50 people. Ensures more standing space.
7.Rods and Handles-to hold while standing.
8.Large Glass Windows- good view and light.
9.Wheelchair Space- for physically challenged.
10. Fire Fighting System.
It also includes,
1. Automated vehicle tracking system.
2. LED display.
3. Ticket Validation.
4. Passenger Information System [PIS]- Announcement made via speakers about bus stop.
Recently, The BRTS service of Ahmedabad was awarded with an international decoration by the USA Govt.’s Transport Research Board with a Sustainable Transport Award-2010. The award was received by the Municiple Commissioner of Ahmedabad, Shri I.P. Gautam and standing committee chairman Shri Asit Vora.
