The Con-Man Wealth Game.. The heart-ache it has presented in every nationalist Indian's heart.

The first question we, Indians need to ask our selves..
Do we need the extravaganza called Common Wealth Games? A part of our heart would declare, why not, every developing country would be hugely benefitted monetarily, with sooo many people visiting and the infrastructure expense, once occurred, would be paid off eventually..
Plus,
India, would earn colossal fame and prestige..
Great..
These are the answers, you, me, a whole bunch of us consoled our selves with. In reality, these arguments were put forward to us, by our dear UPA ministers and our honorable Prime Minister.
And,
We digested the argument, like sweet and smooth ‘sheera’.
We were presented with the illustrations of China’s mounting popularity and upward economic growth in every fields, after the Beijing Olympics..
And,
We, the India’s gullible citizens got absolutely carried away, without giving any deeper thoughts, weather, such a success to the whole event, would be affordable, possible and eventually desirable?
It is true that on the first glance, the infrastructural development, like stadiums, hotels etc. that would be taking place, for conducting such events, would pose to be very attractive form of development.
And,
It would be argued that eventually development would bring prosperity to the people.. It is true that any developing country, needs to keep a perfect equilibrium between the various kinds of developments and any sort of development projects are worthwhile and welcome.
But,
Dwelling one’s self a little deeper, into the matter, it would appear that we still have not reached a stage, where the above mentioned infrastructural development would or should be made priority. There is a mammoth need to spend the funds in gigantic volumes for people oriented projects, which would ensure them availability of basic needs in plenty. If the gargantuan amount spent on constructing innumerable stadiums and star hotels could have been preferred to be spent on that...! Today, in an interview with Barkha Dutt on NDTV, one of the UPA’s leader, Shri Mani Shankar Aiyyar, himself pointed out that the about 70,000 crores have been recklessly spent on the event that is known as Common Wealth, and which is proposed and projected to earn the effervescent success to a nation, which badly requires that enormous sum of money for countless precedence that are of primary importance.
He, even after being an important part and parcel of Congress, could not resist on pouring out his genuine feelings.
And,
If that was less,
The stumpy level of shoddy work that has been done in construction as well as maintenance, has won as a title of ‘Shameless’!!! Lot many representatives and participants from various countries are opting out proclaiming the accommodation conditions ‘unlivable’!!!
And,
Even after such a huge fiasco and humiliating comments, the authority by the name of Mr. Suresh Kalmadi, Mr. M.S.Gill or Mrs. Sheila Dixit go on denying that all is not well!!! I wonder, in what words, Mrs. Gandhi, their ‘super’ boss or the Hon. P.M. has confronted them? The concerned beuracrate, Mr. Bhanot has the audacity, to state in self defence for the accusation of poor hygine and sanitation facilities, that their [the visitors from different countries] and our necessities and standards are different!!! What kind of shabby and uncouth answer is that? The availability of the best hygienic conditions, is of primary importance and to demand that from the host, is not aluxery that they are demanding for. The Hon. C.M. of Delhi has also failed miserably in controlling the time management factor for completion of infrastructure.
Shri Suresh Kalmadi, the minister-in-charge, constantly bragged that this event was going to be bigger and more memorable than the Beijing Olympic..
But,
Have any of these officials had asked their conscious that did they collectively possess [individually, would be too much to demand], the inner strength or the will power to act rightly and promptly, when the time called for? Did they have the courage to take prompt action of the most severe kinds, in case of terror attacks or for provision of security? [To remind you all, there was a terror attack in Beijing, on the very first day and the terrorists were captured immediately and were sent to hell [and not heaven- the five star jails], before the games ended!!!]
We are a country, which was made of lower class and recently, we have put our first few steps as upcoming middle class. We have too many main concerns of developments to take care of, apart from strong and committed impudence. And, for God’s sake, we are no super economic power as yet, and can ill-afford the exorbitant increase in expense and the entire budget going hay-wire. On the contarary, this opportunity, to show case the world, the talent of India has been miserably lost. The Indian athlete Aparna Popat, pointed out to a T.V. channel, that the ‘Advantage Home Pitch’ has been turned into ‘Disadvantage at home’.
And,
The sole and main reason being fraudulent and dishonest tendencies by Shri Suresh Kalmadi and company and of course, inability or disinterest by Hon. P.M. and Smt. Sonia Gandhi, to take strict actions against the trio of Suresh Kalmadi, Sheila Dixit and Sports Minister Shri Gill. All Suresh Kalmadi has offered in plenty, is ridiculous amouts of spending. Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, Member of Parliament from Himachal Pradesh and the chief of H.P. Cricket Control Board, pointed out that recently he spent Rs. 48 crores to prepare a stadium in Dharamsala and here, Rs. 981 crores are being spent for preparation of the same!!! What more should we express?
It is extremely painful, the way the prestige of our country has been put at stake internationally, by the nincompoop leaders leading the nation and the event which was supposed to be a memorable and prestigious, is turning out to be a national shame. Every day or is it too much to wait, rather every few hours, the news of some disaster occurring appears and more heart ache is felt. Eventually, the games will come and go, but leaving behind an iota of bitter cachet and excruciating reminiscent of sleaze, non committal intentions and what not...
