We live at sea, but our welfare near the heart of our C.M... Sagarkhedu Yojna..Swarnimsiddhi-15.

Gujarat, is the state bestowed with the longest coast line of 1600 kilometers. There is a huge population, of Gujarat, engaged in occupations related to sea.
Gujarat and Gujaratis, pre-dominantly, vegetarian by habit..
And,
There prevails a prominent belief that fisheries and related business, in Gujarat, had not been given boost to develop..
But,
The Hon. Chief Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, with the full understanding that the revolution of the long undecided problem has a direct link and bearing with the all round development of the state has focused attention, on the problems of sailors and salt makers, which remained untouched since decades.
The package of 11,000 crore, known as Sagar Khedu Yojna, for the welfare of the sailors and the salt makers, living in the 1600 km. long sea belt, has come into effect, since 2007. The call for industrial development have been given to generate more avenues for the employment. It has been researched to equip the sea belt and the fishermen with the latest gears of communication, so as to protect the sailor, going to the mid-sea, for fishing, from the austere vigil of Pakistan..A clerical call has been given to uplift the standard of the fishermen, by equipping with all the facilities, in the area, including Veraval, Mangrol, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Kutch, Jafrabad, Dholai.. Solar fish drying centers have been established so as to ensure the quality of fishes. Besides, the poor fishermen families have been furnished with fishing nets, two wheelers, insulated boxes etc. and the amount of 500 lakhs had been presented for this. The insulated boxes, worth Rs. 1.12 crores, have been offered to women folks, selling fishes, free of cost. The conversion of F.R.P.O.B.M. boats into LPG, Rs. 600 lakhs had been granted. The usage of LPG, would enable a fisherman to save 58% of expense on gas, which would ensure higher savings for the user and about 25,000 Rs. would be saved. The LPG, being eco-friendly, would also be beneficial to the environment. Under this scheme, the kits worth Rs. 9.12 crores, have been distributed free of cost, to the owners of F.R.P.O.B.M. boats. Under the Sagar Khedu Sarvangi Vikas Yojna, the fishing port of Jafrabad, which was under utilized, due to the damage of Wark Wall and it caused to be huge difficulty for the fishermen of that area, has been funded with 16.67 crores of administrative grant, overlooking the expectation regarding the aid from the center, which decreased the hurdles occurring to fishermen of that area. Solar drying facility has been awarded with 2000 lakhs.. For all this years, Jafrabad, was the center for Bumla fishes and in using primitive methods, it took 10 to 15 days to dry this fishes. With the usage of Solar drying facilities, the time has been cut to only a day, for achieving the same results.
Gujarat, is the state with the longest coast belt on the west and the eastern belt is bequeath with, the forest, from Umergam to Ambaji.. The Adivasis, living in this huge chunk of land, have been granted with Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojna. A package of 15,000 crores have been provided for the up liftment of Adivasis, under Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojna. Four districts, from Bharuch to Valsad, have been beneficial to receive the amenities, under both, Sagar Khedu as well as Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojna. In addition, the Garib Samruddhi Yojna, to uplift the small towns, worth Rs. 13,000 crore had been provided. Under this yojna, the Municipalities, of small towns, like Vapi, Blimora, Navsari etc. were rewarded with the facilities..
Salt, the most prominent ingredient, to tickle our taste bud, is an imperative gift of lakhs of workers, toiling day and night, on the salt pans, leading strenuous lives, to prepare this vital product. Under the Sagar Khedu Yojna, the welfare of this workers was also covered. The provision of health aids, including the services of Mobile Hospitals and education amenities for their children have been provided. The schools with lodging and boarding have been provided for this children.
Thus the section of prime importance for the development of any economy as well as to ensure the all around spread of social fabric, which was ignored, to a large extent, in the coastal state like Gujarat, has been rewarded with all inclusive growth, by the visionary C.M. Shri Modiji..
Vande Gujarat.
