The Supreme Healthcare...108 arrives as soon as you call.. Swarnimsiddhi-13.

Wow..wow..wow..ooooooonnnn..
Previously, whenever such a reverberation was heard, people would deem that certain V.V.I.P. ‘s convoy is passing by..
But,
Since last few years, the residents of Gujarat, have a new implication to such sound..
108 is fleeting by..
108..
108, is the immediate ambulance service of the state. Reaching in any nook or corner of the state, within countable minutes. The grief-stricken, just has to dial 108 and the nearest 108 station would get into action. The ambulance would be equipped with latest medical facilities, that is immediately required to be given as well as the well-trained medical staff. The remedial aid is started off instantly, even before reaching the hospital destination.
This entire project is handled by Gujarat Govt. along with GVK-EMRI-108 in the Public- Private partnership format. There are 403 such ambulances imparting service and very soon, the number will be 450. In last 35 months, this service has assisted more than 12 lakhs of people, from the 226 talukas of the state. Till date, 108 falicitates, atleast 2000 people of the state, everyday. The service is provided free of cost, but there are heavy fine to be paid, if anybody ,makes a fake call [just to create mischief]. Every 45 seconds, one 108, is dispatched, to provide instantaneous assistance, in some or the other corner of the state.
Along with minor –major individual helps, the 108 service has also been a great boon in Shakuntal Hotel mishap, Ahmedabad bomb blast, Modasa hepatitis calamity, Ahmedabad Latthakand [poisoned liquor case] etc. in endowing emergency reliefs.
108 relief service, is originally from the grant given by the Central Govt. and such grant is issued for every state.
But,
No other state, has implemented the service to its best usage and facilitated the citizens, like the Gujarat Govt. For the Hon. C.M. Shri Narendra Modiji, the health of the citizens is of primary importance. He believes, that a healthy state produces healthy mindsets, which encourages development in every sphere.. Moreover, the human life is valued and the provision of instant relief presents a panic-free minds of the people residing in the state.
It is very unfortunate, that when the provision of this grant is available for all states by the Center, but no other state than Gujarat, has implied it to its full use. Now, after a long period, it has been adopted by Uttarakhand, Goa, Chennai, Rajesthan, Karnataka and Assam.
Till 20.1.2010, the total emergency service provided, have been 11,86, 531. Out of which, the cases of Road Accidents have been, 1,95,963. The cases related to child-birth have been, 3,81,728. The heart attack cases were 62,224. The fire and burn cases were 8,746. The cases relating to wild and poisonous animal bites were 22,540 and cases regarding unconsciousness were 35,316.
Study reveals that India’s Emergency Service has outpaced the US version, with its expansion model and innovation. A research published under the title, “Innovation’s Holy Grail”, in a recent issue of Harvard Business Review delineates how 108 is an exemplary effort. Carried out by Management Gurus, C.K.Prahlad and R.A.Mashelkar, the study shows how 108 emergency service is an innovation that synthesizes research and technology. The paper states that 108 service has outpaced the US 911 service as EMRI spent only 50 cents per person, treated to build the infrastructure in India, compared to 100 dollars in the US.
But,
The irony is..
The same 108 service, that has been initiated by Gujarat and followed by other states, had it happened, in some other country, our own people would have written thesis about it..
But,
Neither the Indian Media nor the intellegencia, of our country, have given the achievement, its due appreciations..
[probably, as this mammoth achievement, is commenced by Gujarat??!!!]
But,
It proves, that Gujarat, under the able and commited leadership of Shri Modiji, leads in each sphere..
Vande Gujarat..
