Jai! Jai! Garvi Gujarat!
The immortal presentation by the great poet of Gujarati, Shri Narmad has portrayed a depiction that is so authentic.
Gujarat..
The region full of diversity in geographical landscaping, culture, food habits, language and many more..The state comprises of the longest coast line of the country, of 1600 kilometers long, forest areas Gir and Dang, hills of Satpuda and Arvalli, desert of Kutch...
It has the ability to be a picture perfect tourist attraction.
But,
Till very recently, the Tourism prospects had not earned momentum.
Gujarat ranked at the bottom of the ladder, in drawing tourists of domestic as well as international fame.
The cause behind such a scenario was lack of organized efforts and innovative presentation of existing tourist attraction.
But,
Not any longer..
Today, Gujarat has added an additional feather in its already flooded cap of progressive achievements, by developing tourism as an industry.
The Government of Gujarat, has conquered the myth, that Gujarat was lagging behind in the field of tourism. Tourism Industry, is always propped up by the atmosphere of festivity.
And,
The energetic dynamism of the Hon. C.M. Shri Narendra Modi, has attributed immensely to explore the unidentified beauty of nature that Gujarat possesses and expand the industry to its fullest.
Gujarat...
Where life is a celebration.. as festivity is celebrated with fervor and the celebrations create tourist attraction.
The tourism department of Gujarat, has invented public celebration of popular festivals that color the hearts of the people, such as Kite Festival that is celebrated at the Sabarmati River Front, where kite flyers from all around the globe visit to participate.
The longest festival celebrated in the world, Navratri is marked with enthusiasm where dancing the famous Gujarati folk dances, Garba and Raas in colourful Ghaghra-Choli and Kedio- Dhoti has emerged as the enjoyable tourist attraction. The Ranotsva, celebrated in Kutch during the months of December, has crafted unusual enthusiasm among the domestic as well as international travelers. It has show cased to the world, the hidden beauty of the dry deserted land of Kutch. Lakhs of tourists, visit there especially during these days, and the constant flow has aided in developing the demand for beautiful Kutch handicraft. During the month of February, on the onset of spring season, Vasantotsva is celebrated, with cultural programme at Sarita Udyan in Gandhinagar. Beach festivals are planned each year. In addition to this Grishma Mahotsva is celebrated at Saputara in Daang.
Fairs in Gujarat, depict the cultural heritage of the region and the lifestyle of the rural tribes like the Kolis, the rabaris, the bharwads, the khants, the charans and the kathis. The fair of Tarnetar is celebrated to celebrated the famous legendary marriage of Draupadi with Arjun. According to the popular belief, this was the very place where Draupadi had her Swayamvar.

About 2,00,000 people of all communities and castes including the Garasias and Bhils visit the fair.
This portrayal of tribal heritage is valuable attraction that draws visitors and Gujarat Govt. has emphasized in the last few years, to illustrate to the world the colorful legacy.
The state Govt. has created revolving fund for the upkeep of heritage constructions like palaces and havelis constructed before 1950, for maintenance and preservation. Such monuments have created valuable position that exert a pull on visitors.

Shri Amitabh Bacchan has been selected to represent the Gujarat Tourism as brand ambassador and B to B travel mart based on the pattern of Kerala tourism has been invented.
It has been a journey of just a decade..
Since Shri Narendra Modi took over the reins of the state of Gujarat.
And,
In the span of just ten years, a commitment of one person inspired the entire “Team Gujarat” to excel in each field.
And,
To establish pride around the globe, whenever the name “Gujarat” is mentioned.
Today,
My voyage rendering the achievements of a state, my very own native place, comes to an end.
But,
The lexis of progress, growth and development of Gujarat does not definitely end here.
I am aware, many achievements and sagas of development that has thrilled the very existence of Gujaratis , does not end here. Many such accomplishments are left to be told.
But,
As I had planned this expedition, exactly a year back, on the day of the Swarnim Gujarat...
Today,
On the completion of Swarnim Varsh, I enclose the Swarnimsiddhis of this great state and its dedicated Govt. with reverence.
Of course, I intend depicting to the world of more and more glittering feats that Gujarat, under the dynamic leadership of Shri Narendra Modi attains each coming day..
Coz...
Team Gujarat does not stop, does not rest, does not look back..
For them..
Aage Kadam Gujarat.
Jai Somnath!!! Jai Dwarkesh!!!
Jai Bolo Vishva na Taat ni!!!
Suvarna akshare lakhshe kavio, yashgatha Gujarat ni...
Aa Gunvanti Gujarat ni.
Vande Gujarat..
Vande Matram.
