If Shri Hussain claimed to be patriotic towards his Motherland, he would never have accepted the citizenship of Qatar and would have preferred coming over to his own nation and faced the court..
Since last four years, the whimsical painter is absconding from Indian soil.` Instead of facing the accusations, decided to give up the citizenship of birth land..
Now Hussain Lovers.. Please don’t jump up with the argument that in the land of birth, one is free of expression because it is where he belongs.. No.. When we live with the family members, we do take care of the feelings and emotions of one another..The population of a country must have the feeling of brotherhood, where the feelings and beliefs of each other are not disrespected..Shri Hussain has tried hurting the emotions of majority of brothers and sisters..No freedom of Expression has Right to hurt..
The followers of Hussain, states that Hussain had no choice as the Indian Govt. failed in providing security to Maqubool Fida Hussain and thus the only choice was to flee.. This is a bizarre argument.. I presume, Shri Hussain and his followers are completely secular in their conduct and approach..If they are, than a secular minded person or a group does not ever projects a Goddesses of another religion naked and obscene. To show Sita Mata sitting naked on the thighs of Ravan and Lakshmi Devi resting on the shoulders of Shri Ganesh in nude, is discourteous and shameless..Does he have the guts to portray the Mother of Mohhammed Paigambar Sahib even scantily dressed..?That could have been a piece of art , too..! He won’t because he is fanatic about his religion.. There is nothing wrong in believing in ones religion but ridiculing other’s faith is completely ill mannered..
And,
For such contempt, if there are cases against him, he is not expected to run away and take a permanent shelter elsewhere.. he is expected to come here and apologise for hurting the feelings of Millions..
If, Mr. Hussain has right to express, as a celebrity, it was his humble duty to provide support to Taslima Nasreen, who for a similar cause, of expression of thoughts and beliefs is under scunization..
If Hussain’s expression is justified, so be it for Taslima..
Personally, I don’t favor any one targeting religious beliefs of any religion.. be it Hindu, Muslim or Christian..
But,
If the expression of Art is only in the form of pervert paintings of Hindu Godesses and Bharat Mata, that biased expression is strongly condemnable. Mr. Hussain better know, that this is India and the people living out here are forgiving by nature, that they have let you live at least somewhere on the earth..
Imagine doing this, [as you proclaim to be a secularist] painting a figure of Mohammed Paigambar Saheb’s mother stripped..
And visualize the outcome..
Can you envision anything else than..?
